The weekly VolNation Internet Radio Show will be kicking off hopefully next week. I will be posting all the pertinent information here.

You will be able to listen live to the show, join an online chat while the show airs, and even call in. We will be taking questions/comments from the chat room during the show. You will also be able to listen to a rebroadcast at any time during the week.

Calling in can be done in one of two ways. There will be a list of phone numbers throughout the country that you can call into. There is not a local number in every market (including Knoxville :ermm:) so it may be a long distance call. However, I think most have free long distance on their mobile phones or a cheap $.04 per minute plan on their home phone. You can also use googletalk to call into the show on your computer assuming you have a headset and microphone. We may work on some other ways of calling in if the need arises.

The show will be done weekly and we are thinking of setting the time at 9pm eastern. That should allow local callers to use their "free nights" to call long distance from their mobile phone. That also will allow people in other time zones a chance to call in after work. We have not set a day at this point.

I think this will be a great way for VolNation members to interact on a different platform.

I'm always open to suggestions if you have any and I look forward to hearing from you all on the show.

Hey guys...

As one of the hosts of the show...we are thinking of continuing the name "get inVOLved" from our show that we tried to start up before..

Freak has found a new software that will allow a more internet friendly show and the sound is incredible.

With the popularity of the Volnation website, the show should have a good following and this time it will be "live" rather than taped so you guys can actually be a part of it.

The format hasn't been nailed down yet but there will certainly be a theme to each show or a topic to be discussed every day. There is also a chat board during the show allowing people that can't call in to at least give live feedback.

You guys are top of it. This will also be a great learning tool and I see my knowledge of the whole team really expanding.

Might be better to get a mic on Bruce. That would be some great entertainment!

Kudos to Freak for always keeping the VN an amazing place to be a part of. :rock:

What's a good Knoxville or Nashville sports talk show that has on-line streaming that you could pick up at work.

Not yet. We are thinking of maybe a midweek show but we are thinking that Sunday or Monday night might be best once the season starts. We will let everyone know for sure.
