On all the boards where this meter is used and works its primarily a helping type site such as the lexus IS site where you rate posts based on helpful suggestions or peoples knowledge of the vehicle and or Mods theyve done to the vehicle. A site like Volnation is primarily a Opinion base forum. Most forums are written souley on someone opinion instead of knowledge. I know their is alot of knowledgeable people on this site, but lets face it most of the time knowledgable discussions turn into petty arguments about the other opinions. I don't like the idea primarily because everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it is wrong or moronic sometimes. So why would you punish them for having an opinion? If they get offensive towards other posters thats why we have mods to step in.

of course this is souley my opinion.
