With all these huge recruits coming in as of late plus the greatest coaching staff in college football we could be on the way to building a great dynasty. I know its early but the future is looking pretty d**n bright if u ask me. 2011 just may be our first run back at a championship. Strap up and hold on, the Lane train is comin through!!!

bammers are freaking that we stole a recruit from them.
OLine man.
is this the one.

all over bammer boards on on the news here as well.

I am sorry but can you please post a link to the article where he decommited from UA and commited to UT or are you referring to the articles about him decommiting from UA and is looking at other opportunities now which as he stated still include UA. I guess I missed that article. Sorry to steal something you must take it from someone else and retain it. If he decides to commit elsewhere down the road no one stole him because as of right now he is no ones commit. I hate to burst your bubble but those are the facts. No matter how you want to spin them.

First of all, it's a known fact that Tennessee came in second when he committed to Alabama in the first place. Second of all, we never gave up on him and continued to recruit him. Whether he's said it or not or whether it's a "fact" everybody in their right mind knows that Tennessee will be a major player for James and probably the leader and will end up with him. The only other real competition (which isn't much competition at all) is Oregon.

My money's on Orgeron over Oregon.

I am not arguing that UT is probably his leader at this point. I said he did not decommit from UA and commit to UT. Some posters on here are suggesting that. It UT was a lock he would have already. Do I think he goes there 98% chance because I don't really know who else he might be considering. Did we loose a great prospect yes. Did someone steal him from us no, because he is no longer ours and did not commit elsewhere.

Hey man I'm with you 100%. Some UT fans who don't know a lot about recruiting get all riled up thinking we stole a recruit from Bama, which isn't true. It isn't like he was committed to Bama, took a visit to UT, then switched his commitment like Tyler Bray or Nu'keese.

people get all riled up because 1) its Bama and most people would give their first born to beat that program in anything, and 2) Bama has been ahead of us in recruiting the last few years so its an exciting thing to know that we are in the chase for this player (who happens to be good).

i like our chances. i wont rule out anyone else yet though, including Bama. he committed their already, whats to say he doesnt go back? all speculation of course.

You bammers have some interesting logic. I guess we didn't steal Lance Thompson from you either since he decided to leave due to personal reasons.

Just call it what it is. If JaWuan does commit to Tennessee, it will be a steal from you guys and I guarantee you the decommitment is due to one or more of our coaches in his ear.

It is all semantics at this point. Look this is a UT fan site. Your fans have the right to believe whatever they like. Dreams of grand triumph over your rivals, speculations about one recruit, or to fanticise that every player in the country wants to play at UT. We have those sites to and our fans probably don't like it when rival fans come on there and say something in disagreement. So whatever you feel happened or whatever does happen good luck with him if he signs with UT. For all I know the clouds parted and CLK glided down on a white cloud and said to J James UT is where you need to be and the next day he decommited from us. It really doesn't matter. He is no longer a prospect of ours. He is open to whoever and whatever spin a UT or UA fan wants to put on it, still it is a mute point. He will sign with someone on NSD and I hope his choice helps him to reach his personal goals, both in the classroom and on the field. So for that I will no longer address it, because this is your site and what more can I say on J James.

lol still not grounded. Youd figure after this weekend there would be a different tune. The kid seen the depth didnt want to sit and learn so he decommitted. If he commits to ut then congrats. ut got one of BAMAs former recruits. ut still YEARS behind BAMA when it comes to football period.

Dude, there are strong rumors that he already knows he wants to come to Tennessee and he's holding off going public because of perception. Those rumors are strong on the Bammer boards. It's a steal no matter how you guys try to spin it. You were wrong about him being solid, and you're wrong about our ability to get in your recruits' ear and steer them toward Knoxville. Enjoy it. It's going to happen for years to come.

BAMA has had their success and so has UT. 2 of the most prestigous schools in football, no doubt.

But you know what? Nobody has ever had periods of domination over BAMA like UT has. A good stretch of that domination was perpetrated by a coach who Bammers hate more than anyone in CPF.

Of course, BAMA has had periods of great success against UT but the Bear couldn't beat the Gen and even admitted to not being the better coach and you know that it still boils your blood how much CPF owned you in the modern era.

As for your recent success, the Kiffins are quickly on their way to changing that. 1-2 more years, max.
