Wow. Big jump. I like the respect, but we'd better back up that ranking.

Don't you know ESPN/ABC was lobbying for Texas to jump ND so that it will be 1 vs. 2 next weekend . . .

Arian Foster had "TAKE RESPECT" written on his wristband during the game.
It seems the voting writers are now willing to offer respect early after witnessing Saturday's game. I'm frankly a little stunned by this kind of jump. I really didn't see it happening this soon.

The plus is that, should a miracle season be in store, Tennessee is not lost in an Auburn style quagmire of being too far out of reach in the polls to make the title game.

Again, I'm pretty well stunned....

Still outside the top 10, I think the spot is may be a TAD higher than we'd like this early, but if we take care of business this week, and bring down the Gators in two weeks, it doesn't matter if we were 11 or 16 or 23 this week... we'd easily break in the top 5 after that.

I'm never one to argue with being ranked too high, but this blows my mind a little bit. I really didn't think we'd jump more than 5 or 6 spots. I guess the ranking this early are just that volatile.

Check out the beating Oklahoma took for not blowing out UAB.

5 teams in the top 12. Tell me this isn't the best conference. Nearly half the league in the top 12.

i said they would be top 10. I was one off.... Now the coaches poll is a bunch of crap!!!I expected that. I go by the AP poll because they get it right

Only 2 points out of the top 10. If we beat Air Force, I like to think that we will sneak in.
