I did and I would bet the game the same way if it was played again tomm....of course i gave up ten. We are not playing any better than we was at the beginning of last yr. Hopefully we will improve quickly bc all these wins are important.

I disagree...we lost to ap last season before we learned better...this team is 2-0...bottom line.

You realize the outcome doesn't affect the spread, right? Had Maymon been available, the spread would have been much higher.

Its UT's job to cover it, which they handily did until roughly 6 minutes to play. The inability to close out inferior opponents is worrisome.

I think the inability to close out is a product of Martin making them run clock and then run offense. Right now they're not scoring buckets in these scenarios but that's why you work on it now, instead of against top notch teams. Eventually someone will step up and make clutch shots and Martin will find out who he can trust to give the ball to with under 10 seconds to shoot.

I think we all should understand that CCM is a conservative type coach. I expect the whole season to go like this in games with big leads at the 10 minute mark. If the guys make plays, they keep the big lead. If they don't the lead slowly erodes, but hopefully you get the W and move on.

That is back through the 8th, i guess that is enough proof. I had changed the UT bet i had planned on making to a go for broke parlay which i also lost the baylor game... i lost the UCLA game.....had a couple pushes but the rest have all been winners for awhile.

Im not meaning to sound like i am bragging.....it's just alot of fun.

Sports betting is a blast, gives you interest in games you wouldn't normally watch.

Baseball is one of the easiest ways to make money, if you're disciplined.

I'm best at pro football and the college basketball season before the conference season starts......I also like to bet the lesser known teams, seems easier to win that way. Done fairly decent at baseball, can't win at all at pro basketball.

i should have middled , at half was up 10 and dog was +5, but i let it ride.i lost 50 on it but like you said if played tomorrow id take em -11 again.

took the heat +3.5 tonight. public play but i had to do it.

Betting on NBA basketball is a fool's errand. I had the most luck on MLB, College football and NFL football.

Basketball in general has too many variables (milking the clock, end of game fouling sprees, etc.) that can adversely affect point spreads. Tennessee-UNCA being a good example. If Tennessee doesn't change their offensive strategy yesterday, they likely run that team out of the gym. Eight minutes to go though, Stokes picks up his 4th foul amd we go into prevent mode. We milk the clock, stop working it inside, and end up taking bad shots while UNCA picks up their pave in an effort to get back in the game. Stuff like that is just so hard to predict.

Trust me it is very easy.....im not talking about games where the teams are evenly matched but if you study all the games you can find several gimme's before the oddsmakers catch up. A couple of examples i have ridden hard is eastern illinois.....new coach hired most of the team left....really really bad team.....point spreads have not caught on to how bad they are yet.....i even won betting on wright state.

A good team example is NC State....the oddsmakers have not caught up yet just to how good and explosive that team is.....given up 7 points to UMASS----are you kidding me? Like I said easy, easy money....just takes some studying.

By the time you are absolutely sure about them the bookies have caught up as well and its harder to win.

That's a fair point. I just think UT-Okie St is different than NCSU-UMASS, or Eastern Illinois-Anybody in terms of evenly matched. So, I guess we agree on the whole.

I wouldnt bet any evenly matched teams any ways its usually more of a gut feeling than based on studying....i try to stay away from all tenn games but it is hard to fight back my feelings for the vols lol
