How bad do we beat Mercer?

I think our team didn't care last year vs them. Obviously we do a lot more now, but they are a better team so they can't be overlooked. Duke seemed to, and now they are sitting at home.

Dude... Mercer is a good team. They have a couple bugs that will give stokes and Maymon a run for their money. And they can shoot. Out defense has to show up and guard em tight or we will lose. Stay humble

Why do fans have to stay humble? They aren't playing the game. The team can't underestimate the opponent, but fans can.

We also have 10 and 8(Maymon) to throw at'em this yr too. His contributions are too often overlooked.

It's not necessary, but I find a loss far more depressing when I have talked a lot of crap leading up to the game (like every UT Florida football game)

Mercer is really good. I have watched them play twice this year. Hopefully they blew their wad vs. Duke. GBO!!!

This team can do something special. Getting to the sweet 16 would be great for his team and program. We need this win and to advance to the next round. I think we have the talent to do it. Just gotta take it one game at a time

This exactly. I think our guys didn't give a damn last year after narrowly missing the NCAA tournament. Hard to care about playing Mercer when you barely miss the Big Dance.

That said, I also believe the revenge aspect is going to play into it. The players remember getting beat on their home court. I think they will beat the snot out of Mercer.

I'm not sure they beat the snot out of them, although I would love nothing more as it makes for a much less stressful game, but I do like that there's no way out guys should remotely be overlooking them.

BTO, don't you think the 1-3-1 would shut down the passing lines that are Mercer's bread and butter? Hope they use it more tomorrow!

We used it perfectly against UMASS, not for too long consecutively, but just enough to keep them on their toes. I could be mistaken, but I feel like we even showed 2-3 for a possession or two.

I'm not sure how well it'll work against mercer as the 1-3-1 can be give up corner 3s which mercer hits a lot of, but as successful as it's been I would definitely show it.
