South Carolina is ranked 20th.
That is 2 better than I thought they would be ranked.

all that bammer has to add to CFP is saban bleeding all over everything. this old man is ready for some rest at Sunny Acres.

I feel good knowing if Saban's injury keeps him from work, he can get supplemental cash from the Aflac policy that pays you when you're sick or injured on the job.

If the CFP committee goes by it’s own guidelines Tennessee will be 6th and Bama 7th. GBO
True.

Strength of schedule - draw (tenn 7 ALA 8)
Top 25 record - could go any way depending on where miss st and south Carolina fall tomorrow
Head to head - advantage Tennessee
Record vs common opponent - advantage Tennessee

If Tennessee is ranked above Alabama at #6, I don’t see a path for them to get into the playoff should both TCU and USC lose.

If Alabama is ranked 6th, I could see them somehow sneaking in with Ohio State should Kansas State and Utah win the conference championship because of their close losses, but I don’t think a 2 loss Tennessee would get in above a 1 loss TCU because of their blowout losses. In that scenario, I see Ohio State and TCU being the 3 and four seeds.

This is all ******** regardless. A 12 team playoff expansion is more than I think is necessary, as 8 teams would be perfect in my opinion, but if it eliminates this selection garbage than hell, bring on the 12 team format. Alabama has no business being in the playoff this year based on their resume.

Take out the stupid human element. The BCS was garbage to people because it was just the top 2. If we did top 8 in the BCS poll then it would be much more enjoyable. No stupid conference tie ins or auto includes. Just make the top 8 in the BCS poll.

Basketball has a human element but it also has a very well understood and thought out resume system with RPI and the quadrants. If we can't have a well built system like that in college football then the human element needs to go.

Disagree because of this, straight from the CFP bylaws:
  • Other relevant factors such as unavailability of key players and coaches that may have affected a team’s performance during the season or likely will affect its postseason performance.

Thus Tenn will NOT be under consideration for CFP

We should be 6 but my money is on being at 7 at best.

Give up 62 to SC very BAD lost. And too recent.

Hooker out...even though Bama won it all with a back up.

At this point 6 or 7 does it change which bowl we would get Sugar or Orange??
