Thanks man, we ended up staying in Tunica, getting some gambling in while we are there as well. Can't wait

Got to go to the Grove.. Lot of leg,Tents and FUN. Stadium is really small and getting out of Oxford can be a nightmare. They put visitors in the end zone under the scoreboard I believe. I got tickets in 2009 on the street for next to nothing. TN got BBQ that day Dexter McCluster...

I paid a scalper 150 bucks for 2 tickets in that section. I think it was 103,metal bleechers, directly under the not so jumbotron. The seats were right in the middle about ten rows up. The view was awful and I had a drunken Ole Miss fan behind me who "Hoddy Toddied" the entire time. Every time McCluster broke a run the guy would stand up and start flailing his arms around.........his elbow hit me in the head several times.I ended up just going down to the corner of the endzone behind the fence and stood up and watched as much as I could stomach of the second half. Miserable day.

I hope we have a better experience my friend. We are 5 rows up on the 20 behind the visitor bench

We are going to be going to Oxford for the first time, excited about it. Have not seen tickets from UT, so I'm assuming we sold out. This is also Ole Miss' homecoming game. Should be a good time!

WTF? We are the homecoming game? There better be a good explanation for that. That's insulting. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but the HC game used to be against somebody you were certain you would beat....

You will have a much better view of the field for sure. I never could tell what was going on unless they were inside the 30 coming towards me.It was cool standing down at field level though.

Auburn was ours last year.....

With changes in scheduling for each team, there aren't many options. Either have homecoming early in the year when you play cupcakes or have it later in the year. Example: Auburn is having it in September while Ole Miss is deciding later in the year - which means they had to choose us or Auburn. Can't say I blame their pick with our recent game play.

I can't decide if I should wait much longer for UTTix or Ole Miss to provide an option to buy tickets or just go ahead and pay the high prices on StubHub now

Watch out for cops on the way in/out.....NO speeding! I got a ticket pulling in one year.

Watch out if you plan on drinking while in town too. The majority of arrests in Oxford are for DUI. Even campus PD gets into the action. Whether you're coming from the Square or the Grove, play it safe and have a DD or call a cab.

I over paid I am sure, but I go on the 20 yd line 5 rows up for $110 each

Yeah, you overpaid a little, but they're good seats. I almost had seats in that same section and row for this season. Decided to go a few rows further up to sit with a co-worker and his wife. Same section though.

today (aug 12) and they just got the Tickets in from Ole Miss today. Said they should go out by end of week maybe to those who previously ordered thru season ticket packets...and I'm sure there will be extras available also.

That's good news. I'm going to buy 2 tickets close to the visitor sideline on the 20 yard line if the tickets provided through one of the schools are not what I want

Definitely stay in tunica... it's the closest driving wise... just make sure that you get reservations now... staying there is very popular amongst volume fans... last time we played there I went and stayed at Sams town and the casino was quite literally covered in orange both Friday and Saturday night

Actually, for decent Hotels and a short drive, you should be considering Tupelo. It's under 1 hour of driving versus about an hour and a half. This is especially true if you're coming from east of Oxford.

Ole Miss is a great place for an away game. Nice friendly people & the Grove is a real experience. Make sure you check out the candelabras and tablecloths! I've been there the last two times we've played there and it was fun both times even though we lost in 09. UT fans will be in the North end Zone (where the bleachers are)
