This is the start of a dangerous stretch in the schedule. La-Lafayette, Eastern Kuntucky, and Murray State are all solid teams. Eastern took Wisconsin to double overtime and Murray State pushed Cincinnati to overtime. If we win all three of these games, I think an NIT bid will be realistic.

Don't stop with those teams, we go on to play Appy state, Texas and Ok state. Not exactly a walkthrough early season.

I'm already counting the Texas and OSU games as losses. You are correct, Appy State is a good mid-major, probably will finish second to a really good Davidson team in the Southern.

Quick question. How many seasons in advance does UT plan thier B-ball schedule? I know football goes out like three years and all but does b-ball do it season by season? If so, the man has got some juevos.

I know Pearl added Texas and Ok State. Generally, unless it's a contract for a series of games, basketball schedules are made 1-2 years in advance. Many TV games are set up in the preceding offseason.

I am a transplanted Vol down here in Lafayette, Louisiana. This game tonight is going to be very exciting. UL is a good team and is picked by some to win the SunBelt Conference. The speed of the Tennessee and the excitement of UL should make this one of the more exciting games to watch this week.

The big weakness for this UL team is their shooting. They are having a real hard time making the 3 consistently. The TN team speed should exacerbate this problem even more. When the game speeds up to where Coach Pearl wants it to be, the Cajuns should find baskets hard to come by.

I will be listening down here on the Ragin Cajun network. I love TN basketball but I also have a soft spot in my heart for the local team. I was thrilled at this game. The Cajun fans are great and we have been having some fun with each other coming up to this game.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to the the ETSU game but did anyonw witness the players shaking hands with people after the game? I just read where Pearl had them on the concourse shaking hands and thanking people for coming out to support them.

Smart move if you ask me. I like the way Pearl thinks.
