Bama and Georgia will have new QBs nest year. I am sure they will be talented but it will be interesting to see how the mesh with their team.

This win really wasn't very impressive, because TCU was just simply out matched. Vols 42-45 to 14-17 over this TCU clown show.

Vols win in Neyland with Neyland Stadium rockin and partyin all night long.

Enjoy this Georgia, your reign is over....
Good to be an optimist but don't bet on it. Question: Do we have as many 4-5 star players as UGA in our 1st, 2nd, 3rd strings? Er, NO.
Can they still be beat? Yes. All I'm saying is be realistic. Things have to go our way.

Talent wise they could have a better QB but screech was a coach on the field. He is smart and has been giving extra film time etc.. for 7 years. He's one the oldest players in college football and he used those years wisely. I mean theres probably over a 100 grad assist coaches that are younger than Stetson. They will miss his in-game knowledge and knowing where to go with the ball. Talent and ceiling wise they will probably have a better QB but results may not be as good.
He's a couple of months older than Hooker?

I remember hearing that Kirby had prepared for Tenn offense all year. Georgia puts an emphasis on their defense in both recruiting and game prep. I wished the Vols would do both. We didn't look prepared when we played Georgia and we didn't adjust during the game. I hope we learned from that game.

On paper, at TN is Georgia’s toughest game by far next season.

Yeah, agree but it will be interesting to watch them play Auburn. Will be interesting to see how quickly Auburn can adapt to Freeze's system, they have some good players, and he is one heck of a coach. Playing at Auburn and its basically how well Freezes QB adapts to his system and how well UGAs new QB takes the reins. Freezes has been successful everywhere he's went.

I pretty much agree. Saban has distorted everyone's perception of reality...what he's done is generational, but now everyone expects a title every year.

I hate UGA, but what Kirby has done should not be scoffed at. He's built a strong, deep program that looks to be in the mix for many years.

Some perspective- Kirby now has double the NC titles that Steve Spurrier had. He has the same number of NC titles as Bobby Bowden.
In seven seasons he's won twice the NC titles that Fulmer and Majors combined won over a 31 year period.
You can't argue it, they are exceptional in all phases of the game. Their talent is unparalleled and they play with a nasty streak that I have not seen since our old Defenses with Wilson and Little. Kirby has successfully followed the Saban model and taken great talent to its potential.

Their teams will all come down to QB play. If they have a gamer like Bennett they will be in contention a lot in the coming years.

That being said it doesn't mean we can't have success against them but it does mean we will have to beat both UGA and Bama every year which isn't going to be easy. I can't think of too many other programs that have to play two top 5 (likely) teams every season. Good news is with a 12 team playoff we can still get a shot.

Can you imagine this year with an expanded playoff? Us, Bama, Clemson and others would have been great matchups. Still think 12 is too many but last time I checked no one asked.... ;)

B fooking S on ball lickers being dominant. Just stop it- They had a cakewalk schedule this year, and a down conference the last 3/ Dawgs next year at Auburn? Freeze is KILLING the Portal- stockpiling talent. Can they be a cohesive unit in at home on 9/30 ? Freeze is a really good coach, beat nick satan twice at Ole Piss. Then dawgs are in Knoxville in November.
