Vols Fall Practice #6

How much of practice do these media guys actually see? They seem to have sweeping takeaways from what I would assume would be very little exposure. Also, I hope Squirrel is good to go...
It’s probably a closed practice. Fake it till ya make it.

Our RB room got serious hands.

I don't know how many snaps he's realistically in line for, but Khalifa Keith looks like he could end up being a great get. I love bruising RB's with hands.

Not sure why you would like bruising RBs, but it would probably be easier to do with something harder than hands, like maybe a baseball bat or a lead pipe.

Cooper Mays was probably on the toilet

I get that Mays is an old vet and probably doesn't need much practice, footwork instruction, help with plays or how to hit.

Just makes me wonder what does he need to do to get ready? Plays on air for speed and timing? Obviously, get in shape. Probably doesn't need all the summer practice hitting hard, which would just increase a chance for injury but he's gotta knock the rust off.

Timing. He might not need much but the O Line as a unit needs to be in sync. Nothing screws a drive like pre-snap penalties and they can be a problem with the speed we operate with.

Rep after rep after rep after rep to have it down.

Excited to see Milton in action. Hoping CJH has him playing to his full potential, which should be sick.

Sounds like IF the OL holds up and stays healthy we should be in for a good year.

I still find it weird how these guys all report things so differently.
It’s like they’re in a rush to be first rather than being right… I would prefer a guy who made audio notes and watched everything, then published them later.

I have a feeling Coop will be "hurt" a lot during practice this year, and He should be. At this stage of His career, I'm sure He knows how to handle His business. Aside from Milton, He's the most important player on this offense, and this team can't afford Him not being available for games.

I agree...I loved how the rams used to used have Steven Jackson sneak through the line and dump a pass over the line to him.
