Really good run last season by the Vols making it to the EE.

With a pretty good class coming in, what are your expectations for next season?

Can I just add that Tobias Harris is an absolute Animal and I wish he was suiting up for UK next year :hi:

I'd say Vols are primed for a pretty good season again next year

Thoughts?

Losing Chism/Maze/Prince will be huge, we may have 3 very talented kids coming in but none of them will be able to replace what those three brought to the team, not this year anyway.

With that said, I will never doubt Pearl again...I thought last years team ( like many others ) would be lucky to make the tourney after the incident. All proved wrong.

I see another 20+ wins, decent showing in the SEC tourney and a 2nd or 3rd round appearance in the Dance.

I don't think we'll make as deep of a run in the NCAA's. I do see us having a really good shot at winning the SEC though. I could see about 22-25 wins.

Sweet 16 is about all that can be reasonably expected right now IMO. Too many unknowns to predict anything beyond that.

Making the Sweet 16 without a starting caliber point guard on the roster would be an accomplishment.

My thoughts exactly. With the SEC likely taking a step back as a whole next year, they should be right in the thick of the conference race, but Melvin Goins is going to have to take a miracle leap forward to expect too much in March

Not trying to start a Hatvol war, but I could have sworn you said something along the lines of "I'm no longer concerned about our PG play next season" in reference to Melvin Goins in one of your Postgame Threads towards the end of last season.

I think we will play every game on our schedule. The final score of each game will dictate the outcome of the season. If we score more points than the other team, we will come out on top. On the other hand, if we score less, the outcome would be in the loss column. If we win every game in the NCAA tourney, we will be National Champions, if not, we won't make it any farther than our winning ability allows us. I think this is the most accurate prediction of what will happen next year and you can't dispute that just because you are a Kentucky fan. That's not fair man.

With the overwhelming strength of the SEC next season, we'll be lucky to have a .500 conference record. South Carolina will rule and the SEC will be considered the top conference in the country. If you don't believe me, just read MHF's posts. Everyone in the conference will be improved next season and we'll likely have 10 teams make the tournament.

I'm starting to wonder if Pearl can win under than 20 ;)

Cut your list down to 2, losing Prince and Chism will be huge. But don't fret. We've lost Lofton & Jujuan before w/ no futuristic hope.

Final Four is getting closer and closer. I can almost taste it...

If Goins plays as he did the final four games of the season, things should be fine. If he's the player he was for the majority of the season, Tennessee is up Shat Creek.

Assuming (fairly safely) Goins is the starter next year, do we know who is going to be backing him up?
