As long as they dont do a "Ring around the Rosie" formation. That kind of gimmicky offense isn't anything you'd ever see in the NFL.

It was open to the media and the staff ran something off the books.
They saw something new at a time media is invited to be there.
That is 100% on the staff. You are mad at the media for doing their job? They saw practice and reported what they saw.

Would you still be mad at the media if it is actually a fake formation that was revealed as a Trojan Horse for opponents to waste time prepping?

You can't make good sense via actually thinking about something and then post it on this board. It's not what we do around here.

Man, we really lucked out with Huepel. What this man has accomplished in two years was unfathomable to me after Pruitt. 7 ranked wins (beat Bama), first New Years 6 bowl in college football playoff era, our first Biletnikoff winner, landing the number 1 QB in the nation last year (according to on3), and he is turning Pruitt leftovers into high draft picks. Alontae and Velus his first year and we SHOULD have 5 players picked in the first 3 rounds this year (Wright, Hyatt, Hooker, Tillman, and Young). Huepel has resurrected this program from the ashes. Dude is an offensive wizard and he is doing this with the previous staffs scraps. Nothing at all against these guys, they had potential but didn't have the right system or coaching to maximize their talent. Now they do and we are seeing the results. Once Huepel has a team full or 4 and 5 star talent Tennessee will be a regular in the college football playoff.

yeah......that was no accident.

Ohzzz nozzzz........we accidently ran new formations while the media was filming!?!?

Right............
Yup, keep the opposition constantly guessing and give them even more stuff to have to consider. Creating confusion is a proven tactic

More indication that we've seen only a fraction of the playbook imo.
Right. Remember this new red-zone wrinkle unveiled in the Alabama game?!

Or this one? Saban said in post game he had not seen that old-school formation in over 20 years and his defense was confused and had no idea how to line up! 😆 You can see the official illegally standing between Hooker and the center trying to give them extra time to figure it out or for Nickie time to call timeout.

In total, our red-zone offense scored 3 TDs (from the 1, 11, and 2 yard lines) and a 2 point conversion.
