Vols get hot late - Just like last year

I agree but that's a mighty tall order with FL and Mizzou still on the schedule. It's not impossible though if we keep playing well.

The good thing is that both those games are at home....get the crowd into it and we see how these boys can play.

Some people might think this is crazy, but Maymon being hurt has actually helped this team, especially going into next year. It has forced Stokes to figure out double teams, and be more decisive in his moves down low. If Maymon was there he would have been a crutch of sorts. Its allowed Jordy to get more shots and build his confidence, and become the player most of us envisioned. It's let Moore get more minutes than he would have, and gain valuable experience. We wouldn't be going 4 guards with Maymon, and Moores minutes would probably be cut in half. So while we would be in better shape, record wise, with Maymon. For the future it's actually been beneficial. With this team mostly back, plus Maymon and Hubbs, next year could be really special. For now I hope we keep this up and make the tourney.

I agree 100%, was thinking about this the other day. We are gonna have 5 guys on the court next year who have confidence in their game and bigs who know how to work a double team.

"If you're looking for an SEC tournament buster that could cause serious problems for bubble teams in the league -- and who knows maybe win the tournament -- then put Tennessee down. The SEC tournament is in Nashville and the Vols are clicking at the right time. This is exactly the type of team that could get hot over a three-day period in a conference tournament. The Vols have the size inside and can suddenly score (not resembling at all the team that lost to Georgetown 37-36 Nov. 30)"

Katz is LOVIN' some Vols. I bet he took a pay cut for that statement.

I felt the same way last year when we went on our run. Almost like the Vols could do no wrong and then we laid an egg in the tournament and I'm still trying to forget that horrible MTSU performance. BUT if we somehow make the tournament, we are a really dangerous team because our seed will be high, we'll likely be underdogs with a chip on our shoulder and we are very athletic. I can see a second round tournament game knocking off a low seed team.
