Love Hendon. I think he has a rare perspective and appreciation for coach Heupel and the program. Came here from Virginia tech obviously had no draft hype around him at all. Hendon built himself into one of the best players in college football under Heupel. A lot of players especially ones like Hendon try to repay that as best they can.

Learning more about Heupel’s story leading up to the Oklahoma game, Hendon’s path has been strikingly similar. I think they’re cut from the same cloth in many ways.

Side note: I miss seeing Hendon’s parents in the crowd during games! They were like the first family of Tennessee football for those couple years. Love seeing Nico’s folks in the stands now though. Both are far superior to the Klubniks.
