White Sox's Garrett Crochet: Moves to 15-day IL
The White Sox placed Crochet(elbow) on the 15-day injured list Thursday.
Crochet missed all of 2022 and will get a late start to 2023 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. He's throwing off a mound, though, and it would seem to be a good sign that he hasn't been placed on the 60-day IL.
White Sox's Garrett Crochet: Impresses in live bullpen
Crochet (elbow) threw a live bullpen Friday and will throw another session Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
White Sox's Garrett Crochet: Could return in May
The lefty, nearing the end of his recovery from Tommy John surgery, will sit out the White Sox's Cactus League slate before likely beginning a rehab assignment in April.
If he goes to Barons, they play the Smokies twice in April. They're in Kodak 4/6-4/8 which is likely too early.
I can't wait until he's back on the mound. He's one of my favorite pitchers to watch.Man! What if Crochet comes back with even a little more velo?
This sort of thing is getting more common with young guys having TJ.
The Sox were hit by bad injuries and elderly management in recent seasons.
I have a suspicion they may tear that division up this season and/or next. They are well balanced offensively and on the mound.
Cease, Kopech, Giolito, Lynn are formidable. What happens when Liam Hendriks and Garrett Crochet get back?
