not sure what the weather is supposed to be this weekend, but today it's 55 and sunny in Lawrence and the next few days are supposed to be unseasonably mild.

don't waste your time on Buffalo Bob's; if you are going to be in the area just make the short trip over to KC and do BBQ the right way.

in lawrence, try Free State brewery. it's a local place with their own great brews. it's on Mass Street, which is "downtown" lawrence. You'll get some good natured ribbing in your orange from KU fans, the place will be packed after the game.

One more question...
Parking?
Is there plenty of parking close, free, easy access???
I will get there pretty early that morning, trying to get in as soon as the doors open...

It's supposed to get up to 52 tomorrow with a 30% chance of light rain.

The students are still on break, so with all the wine and cheese alums and casual fans, it won't be the typical Allen Fieldhouse experience.

Hope all of you who are coming have a great time and enjoy everything but the final score.

Rock Chalk!

If you arrive that early, there should be ample street parking in the residential areas just a few blocks away. Directly across the street from the fieldhouse you can park in the lot behind Naismith Hall, but it's $10, I believe. Behind the fieldhouse, up on the hill, you'll see a bunch of dormatories with parking lots. With most of the students still on break, you can easily find a spot there, but you may get a ticket.

I would suggest Fiorella's, Gate's, or Arthur Bryant's (in that order).

I went to both Fiorella's and Arthur Bryant's, and I must say I liked Arthur Bryant's better. But both were DELICIOUS. :yahoo:
