I know we've got the "it's early" disclaimer, but it's starting to feel a little like the good old days of recruiting...especially seeing just UF above us, definitely has a nice feel...though others will close in. Butch had some classes, but seems we always lost a few off the top every year to defections. Pruitt keeps his guys in the program, so that we're not constantly "young", like w/ previous coaches...they've got a way of identifying players who have the skill and mindset.

I try not to be negative, but we still have a lot of unanswered questions as a team under Pruitt. But no matter what, it all starts with talent. So we need to win in recruiting before we can expect to win more games.

Having said that, I think we may be poised to improve dramatically if we can improve in two areas. One is improved QB play, obviously. The second is being able to play with confidence, to be capable of performing at a high level and imposing our will against our opponents. Experience and talent play directly into that -- and we already know we'll be more experienced. So bring on the talent!

Call me crazy but if the season starts later or, heaven forbid, is canceled because of Covid-19... It could really help us on the recruiting front. We have yet to start a season well under Pruitt and the extra time could have us more prepared. AND, this staff has proven they can recruit with the best of them. No season at all would be better for us than most others I believe.
