In our country? In my opinion it is something we have been fighting since our founders codified in the Constitution that enslaved people, largely of African origin, were only 3/5ths of a human being.
Are you aware of why slaves were considered 3/5ths of a person? What was the thinking or logic behind that?

I see that this has been moved into the Politics forum, so I will bid this thread adieu.

Did I say you were white? Did I ever insinuate that?

Also, “it shouldn’t make me feel I’m racist?” Now you’re telling a black man how to feel? Wow!

Not saying you are...but this is EXACTLY what white liberals do. They “think” they’re doing a service to minorities, but they are actually the real racists.
Ok you caught I'm a racist. I'm going to work on this right away.

I respectfully disagree. PEACEFUL protest and standing up against institutionalized injustice is exactly what needs to happen.

Any one caught looting or destroying private or public property (including statues) should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Good with that. Spring of my Freshman year in 91’ we heard people on campus were protesting Desert Storm. We took over Cumberland in support of our troops. I will never forget that night. American Flags took over campus! Nobody hurt that I know of.

They staying at UT their whole life?
Hopefully not. Hopefully, they'll move on to a country where 13 to 14 % of the country (race-wise) make up a much larger piece of the social conversation and are included in a much higher presence in the social fabric of the economy and society. Almost every country in history has had inequality. England eradicated slavery probably about 40 years before the US did. Where is the big push back against them? The US is the only country where almost 1,000,000 people died to free slaves. Why is America targeted? I think most of us know.

Probably a good thing we aren’t having full stadiums this year. Not trying to have the optics of 102,000 fans booing the players once they kneel on the sideline

True. It'd be extremely embarrassing for our fanbase to have our own fans booing our players. FWIW I think it'd only be 30,000 that would sink that low.

Which women could not do either, regardless of race. Thankfully, there are lots of intelligent, logical, honest black folks in this country who know the truth such as Rep. DeBerry, H. Walker, T . Sowell, Ras, ....we need them to offset all the ignorant white youth tearing up our country as we speak with BLM and Antifa. In case yall haven't noticed, those mobs of Dimwit voters rioting out west are at least 50% white kids.... I say this as a white man with a 19yo son and 2 black little sisters of 25 and 23...none of which are ignorant enough to Burn/Loot/Murder with these Socialist domestic terrorists...

The irony being that the slave south would have loved for slaves to count as a full person, while the free north would have loved for them to not count at all. It was all political because population determined representation. The thing people tend to ignore, the north was anti-slavery, but they were still mostly racist.

Pruitt has about 4 million reasons to jump on board. I never knew these athletes had so much to overcome at a place like UT. Must be rough.
Free school and playing games is super duper tough and is much easier and provides more opportunity in other more progressive nations.

Where did the constitution say that? You think if America didn't exist today, would we still have the same type of slavery back then?

Give me some laws that are an injustice against blacks? Give me an example please.

That was so slaves would not be counted fairly in the representation in the House of Representatives thus keeping Southern states under represented.

it's funny because most blacks have no idea what real injustice is. Live in africa or india and you'll see real injustice.
