The thing about worley is he's so damn sneaky about it. You're not paying attention and then....whoa, what just happened.

He is going to need some witchcraft to pull out a win tomorrow.

I'm just hoping he gets time in the pocket to show what he can do. If our oline gives him time he will get it to the playmakers.

I have to say I was very concerned about Worley coming into this year. Last year I didnt feel like he could do much of anything in the passing game. His game has improved dramatically, he has demonstrated his ability to hit the short and intermediate routes consistently so far. Now for this tough challenge we need him to connect on a couple of deep balls early (TWSS) to open the defense up a little bit and give us room to work and control the clock. GO VOLS!

Night and day on the shorter passes from last year. He's reacting better to the game. Still no long ball though. Need that to win some vs the better teams.

Throwing behind his receiver was his big bug-a-boo last yr. Hopefully "new Worley" will have better timing.

I'm hoping he has the best game of his life.

Keep hope alive until it's time to give up the hope. What point in the game that will be...? But I'm yelling nothing inside my head but Rocky and Rudy.

His magic bus word from the other article was WINNER. Honestly he has played like one this year. Whatever the outcome I look forward to his progress throughout the year. IMO while I understand the comparison to Crompton's turn around Worley has been the more complete QB and in a faster time frame than even Crompton achieved.

I don't know how many times the head coach said it was more on improper routs than on the QB. It was many.

Jones O is based heavily on timing and position in the passing game. Wrong route by a young receiver and it looks ugly.

Not saying JW didn't throw some duds, but the coach corrected this misconception on several occasions last year.

Sure JW has worked to improve and his WRs have to, plus talent upgrades. But, IMO, the biggest improvement all around is that everyone (exc Pearson/Wolf/Helm) have gotten to be in Butch's system for two years now and understand where to be at all times.

This was the "X" factor that I was hoping to create a better season this year. Looks like it in the passing game so far.

... now on to that all-new OL & DL ...:whistling:

Wish Worley would have been able to have redshirted .. dang Dooley

SMH the moment he walked onto the field at BDS. About the time I started questioning the abilities of our then "new" coach. Questions soon turned into full confidence as time went on.

If Worley could have redshirted under dumbutt we would win the East next season easily. I truly believe that 100%. the trenches are our achilles this season...next season we will be very strong all over the field. QB play is the only thing that can keep us from being SEC-E champs next year. Watch and see...JMO TIFWIW

Personally, I'm thrilled that Worley has done well in these first two games. I think he's got that pocket presence that he missed last year and a lot more confidence. However, in the back of my mind I was secretly wishing that either Peterman or Dobbs would beat him out so we don't have to go through the growing pains of another QB next year. I think that will hurt our chances next year, but I'm still really excited about what Worley has brought to the table for this year and how far we'll go.

Go Vols!!!
