Either that is a bracketology from years past or it is a wild guess on CBS's part. I am almost positive that we won't make the NCAA this season. However; we will make the NIT....

LOL. It is Jerry Palm, who does one every year. Yes, it's early, but it's based on what's happened up to this point. Interesting that we will play 8 teams (11 games) in that bracket.

My bad the date appeared to be 2009 because they stuck the 14 at the end of the date behind the time....Through me off. Sorry about that. Its a rarity in Vol Nation when someone admits their mistake......I made a mistake. first one in my life....LOL except for the two exes......

I know it is wildly speculative at this point, but that would be a great bracket for Tennessee and CCM would get to play in front of his home folks in St. Louis.

Like you said only speculative at this point, but I would rather face any of the other 2's than Iowa State. They are a scary team right now. jmo

Bracket updated on: Mon Jan 6 09:16:56 2014

Actually it was this morning at 09:16 am. The above was right at the top of the article.

I saw it. wonder how we were a 10 seed in 2009 and went back the year looked like an afterthought. they should put it behind the day, date versus sticking the time in between the time and the first part of the date....JMO

with 2 exes there is no third time....LOL. Did not realize how much better that situation would be buy not having one...

Looking at the first part of the season so far....Tough call to know for sure if they make it to the dance. They are improving as a team....but it is a tough call.

Beats being married and trying to be right. I haven't been right in 23 years.

Some interesting things in this bracketology:

WF in as a 12
Xavier in as a 8
Virginia in as a 9
5 SEC teams: UF, UK, Mizz, UT and Ark.

That puts extra pressure on the LSU game. You have to look at LSU as the odd man out in that kind of arrangement. So, beat LSU and strengthen your case, or lose and see them leap frog you.

I have come to the realization that if we didn't have bubble issues and Rpi projections to discuss we wouldn't have anything.

It's the CCM way around here

Good call. I thought that when I was writing the question.

As much as people on here don't want to admit, we aren't in terrible position right now. our rpi is much better than last season. Could we have been better yes, should we be in better position yes. But by no means are we out of it already like so many on here want to believe.

Some folks would rather suffer from cotton mouth, than to drink from a glass thats half full. :)

There's no limit on how many SEC teams can get in, but I do agree with your premise. Beating LSU is kind of like beating another bubble team, will give us a leg up.
