Vols offer 2010 PG Vander Blue

Very guard intensive focus for '10. Also, I think this says something about how much they like their chances with Joe Jackson.

I've spoken with some coaches who have evaluated him. I'll say this, if Bo Ryan likes a guy, he's got to be fundamentally sound.

Good deal. I just hear Pearl and Co. recruits a guard and automatically think the worst...

Excellent point. If Bo Ryan offered and liked, you know you're getting a smart, fundamentally sound, unselfish kid.

Man, getting two of the top 7 PG's in the nation would be huge.

That's immediately what I thought of when I heard Wisconsin. He'll know how to play D and value possessions, two things we desperately need.

Just don't know about the thin skin. Not that it would deter me.

Blue's a very solid player. That said, anyone who has him rated among the Top 10 point guards is mistaken.

I was basing this off Rivals having him as the #7 PG in the country and Selby #2 in the country at PG.

I know people are just trying to be honest but.... Blue says he decommitted because of what was being said about him on message boards. Then people talk him up and some people feel the need to downgrade him. There is a possibility he'll check out Tennessee boards sense they just offered him. I guess some people don't want him to come to Tennessee and don't want the basketball team to succeed. :banghead2:

...Do you really think someone saying he's a very solid player but not top 10 is downgrading him? Thats nothing compared to what 99.9% of posts have about a player.

True. I just found it ironic. We should all be saying that he is the greatest basketball to ever play! :p
