I do honestly get your point here, but as a graduate and season ticket holder I do consider myself as part of the team due to support both in body (going to games as a student and season ticket holder and cheering them on from the stands) and financial (tuition and athletic donation to both academics and athletic department for tickets) much less having a current child there as a student, I think that I do have a stake here and I am entitled to say we.

Sports are supposed to unite us and some of these things that are said on this board are trivial sometimes and I say this in support of all and not going grammar police on anyone.
