My realistic prediction for the Vols finish to the 2019 class.

JaVonta Payton
Eric Gray
Darnell Wright
Khafre Brown
Kenyatta Watson
Owen Pappoe
Bill Norton

That’s 27.

Cox flips to Auburn and Tennessee recruits over Clemons. That puts Tennessee at 25.

Guessing that’s a top 10 class. Somewhere around 8-10, unless some guys like Beasley or Maurer get a bump in rankings.

Of course, I’m hoping Tennessee can pull some surprises like Haselwood, To’oto’o, Bogle, and Crouch, but at this point, I think the Vols are on the outside with them. Long way to go, though, and Pruitt is known as a closer.

What about LB? Would Henry and Pappoe be enough?

Edit: assuming we keep Henry and Pappoe flipped.

I'm just wondering how Pruitt is known as a closer. We struck out a lot at the end last year and let's face it, every assistant who has recruited at Bama, FSU, and UGA for the past decade has looked like a rock star on the recruiting trail....

I can guarantee you that whoever wins the Powerball and whoever won the Mega Billion definitely touched me inappropriately 20 years ago and I'm going to sue.......unless I win the Powerball of course.
I 'member that. My baby brother and I saw it all.

He had very little time to flip kids and show his plan for Tennessee football moving forward. With a year under his belt and proven growth of his team, it'll be a little easier to sell kids on our future.

I like this list, but as I said above, I don’t believe we’re taking 2 receivers so take Brown out. Also, Jammie Robinson is more likely than Watson. I think Robinson is a Vol lock right now. Even tho Pappoe is a tough flip, if Auburn struggles down the stretch, we might have a chance as people will be calling for Gus’ job. I’ll keep Norton on here because Pruitt has clearly prioritized him, but I’m not sure how realistic it is. My list would look like this:
Payton
Gray
Wright
Jammie Robinson
Norton
Pass rusher yet to be named

Also, in his short time he still closed on JJ Peterson, Alontae Taylor, Bryce Thompson, Jeremy Banks, DWA, and other elite players who are already contributing as much as the Butch Jr’s and Sr’s left on the team.

I don't think KW and Norton are realistic. I think Pappoe is on the very fringe of realistic. Would love to be wrong, but I don't see it happening.

agreed. But things could change with Pappoe if Gus gets the axe. Before last week people were calling for it pretty strongly.
