VOLS: Rumor and/or Hearsay ??

I don't give it any weight because I certainly don't see Bo as the best option at QB. Having Bo start would be like how Wahlabama had Pennington starting a couple of years ago... a disaster.

I am sure Chavis is going to "let" Ainge have a good day..it isn't going to happen.

Arclight, posting rumors is about as bad as rumors themselves. If you are going to post it, back it up. Doing this gives you credibility. Otherwise, I look at them as BS.

UT QB's usually play better and have better statistics in scrimmages then they do in games. EA having bad scrimmages IMO is a bad sign.

I don't remember the stats from EA's scrimmages being that bad last year, he played worse in games.

I'm expecting the offense to become more run oriented then it has in the last few years. If Crompton plays well again next scrimmage, I'm expecting him to start working with the first team and given an opportunity to compete for the starting job.

Ainge did horrible in scrimmages last year. He had like a 40% completion percentage. That is why Rick Clausen was so upset that he was not named the starter.

i don't remember reading that Ainge threw below 50% in scrimmages last year. I can't imagine him winning the starting job over Clausen if that was the case.

I don't remember much discussion of Ainge's poor play until after the Florida and LSU games last year. I think the majority where surprised, and there was no indication of it in fall practice or scrimmage.

Trust me, Ainge didn't look so hot in scrimmages last year. Clausen should have started against UAB. If no one was surprised by his poor play, they were all blinded by our preseason ranking.
