Hell no. I do NOT want the vols to leave the best football conference. SEC Football is all I really care to watch

Reasons why we should join the ACC in the future
  1. Our tradition transcends our conference. From the vol walk to the vol navy our traditions would fit well in any conference and bring recruits in. We have no true rivals in the SEC. I think the Vols are capable of being in any conference and succeeding.
  2. If we were to not win 10 games again over the next decade what do we do? Do we continue to stay in a conference that won’t be getting any easier?
  3. Playoffs are the only thing that matters going forward. It doesn’t matter what conference you are in. If you make the playoffs you have a chance to win it all.

Leaving the SEC just means we have to compete with Bama, UGA, Texas, Oklahoma for top recruits from an inferior conference. We may be top of that conference but still behind the same teams we are now.

Back in the mid 80s - mid 90s I wanted UT to go independent. The independents had the choice of which bowl they wanted to go to... Notre Dame, FSU, Miami, Penn State were all independent and not locked into a collectivism (conference).

I thought UT was getting bowls that were beneath us many of those years because of the collectivist SEC. I would not oppose this at all! I'm not a fan of this conference and never have been. The only other school I pull for in the SEC is Auburn... I hope ALL the rest of them lose OOC games.

Between our championship of life, turnover trashcan, ncaa investigation and a team that fights more after a game than during one, we already are. Can’t accept mediocrity anymore. Winning is all that matters.

I don’t think they should leave because it’ll be hard to compete. But they should leave for the clear bias and officiating that is in this conference. That bama game was basically rigged. Lol. What’s the point of playing in a conference you’re not allowed to win certain games?

Also....GTFO with that nonsense man. We are TENNESSEE. Headed up like a rocket. Each class CJH has signed has been better than the last....2024 class is top10 for sure and was ranked 6th last I saw. Best since Fulmer was on top of his game in probably 2001

Won't lie. Football out west is pretty darned good and fun to watch. I'm a sucker for Oregon and to a lessor degree, Washington. I try to catch both those when I can. They don't disappoint. It's really good football.
