No we don't nothing about this team and coaching staff tells me that.. Also ol Bob is laughing because he has heard so much about the sec.. N they just smoked bama and now he get the vols to show the world that the sec isn't unbeatable from top to bottom..

This gets ugly n fast .. If cbj punts the ball on 4th n 1 n when we can't stop them like the ducks I will be buying a new TV.. Lol

God, is that you?

Can you imagine how great it would be if we pulled it off. Ok has 4 turnovers and worley is careful with the football. Hurd and Lane combine for 175 on the ground and our WR are able to pile up YAC in large amounts. High scoring afair because our defense strugles but due to OK turnovers we are there at the end and pull it off.

Please note, no one who is a fan of the Sooners refers to our stadium as The Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. It is Owen Field.

I know OU has a long, distinguished and proud history, but that is just awful...why on God's green Earth did OU allow that to happen? It's criminal actually... can anyone imagine "welcome to the Pilot Oil Haslam Family Shields-Watkins Field at Neyland Stadium? UGHHHHHHHHHHH....

I'd like to see our Vols enter the game and stand on the sidelines. Then notice that on the other side is "the red team" and become beastfully nuts. Oozing ire, fire, and brimstone, and whispering 'Saban' under their breath, run every play hard. Trying mightily to stomp and grind those red boys into a played out oil well somewhere under the red Oklahoma ground. Then notice there are two other "reds", one in Georgia and one in Bama, then do it all over again twice.

It's called money talks. The Gaylords donated a boat load to our most recent stadium remodel back in the early 2000's. Before that, the stadium was simply called Oklahoma Memorial Stadium and everyone simply referred to it as Owen Field.

The OU athletic dept. is one of only 6, I believe, that is self-sustaining and does not receive state funds or funds from the university general fund so such donations are a big part of the dept.'s evolution.

You really do have to take into account that the Bama team was downtrodden going into that game and we know all too well how easy it is for these kids to quit when things all of a sudden don't go the way they expected or wanted.

Please don't bring logic into this thread.

Post was properly conditioned with the "can you imagine" verbiage. Way to watchdog these threads though. Semper vigilans.

Oh you bit, so you are well aware you're Mr. Nega-Vol. I imagine you will be pulling for the Sooners so you can start a bunch of "I told you so" threads.

Watchdog out.

It would take a 1970 Marshall plane crash level event for us to have a chance. I'm telling you now we've already lost that one. If Hart and Cheek cared about giving us a realistic shot at a bowl game they would've bought this one out. It's gonna be a 5 win season at best.

Give me your 7 losses and provide adequate reasons we definitely lose please.

You could've used something other than the Marshall plane crash and you're wrong anyway about our chances being that slim.

yeah. I've been around here for about a decade because I'm a closeted war eagle. The person who changed my avatar from the walking horse can change it back any time he or she wants.

He's told you a few times that you can change it yourself, you just like it too much i guess.

I say if we go to a bowl this season you get your "Guru" tag removed. What say you? I mean the post that I and several others have quoted is not exactly a great example for one of the leaders of this awesome site.

There is always a chance, but it is a slim one. However, Oklahoma tends to play down to the competition which gives me hope we don't get run out of the stadium. They are a good team, but the Sugar Bowl was a result of them playing lights out and Alabama wishing they were somewhere else. I am really just praying we don't get completely destroyed. Playing them close would be a confidence builder for the young ones.

I guess Appy State against Michigan a few years back didn't show anything. How about Georgia Southern beating Florida last year? I could go on and on. Point is, if you've watched college football for any time at all you would know that no outcome is set in stone before the game is played. To say so would be pure ignorance.

We've got the loser mentality and that can't be overcome. Rewatch last year's Vandy game. We don't know how to win and CBJ hasn't changed the culture to this point.

Yeah, but it has to turn somewhere. I understand in all reality we are underdogs, but just seeing the negativity never stop gets exhausting. I'm as big a realist as the next person but I'll never say there is zero chance.

The legacy class will terminate all loser mentality and lay a foundation that the sport has never seen. They will seek greatness and stop at nothing to bring UT to the top.

I agree. I also believe if they don't achieve that then Tennessee football will never make it back to prominence.
