I think GFW was referring to his reputation as a transfer. He was Oregon's 5th leading WR, last year, and had 26 catches for 541 yds and 3 TDs in 25 career games prior to this season. A lot of our fans acted as if we were getting prime Calvin Johnson.

He isnt CJ. A great talent, but very raw, IMO. Has all intangibles, honestly needs to transform from a bball body to a football body. May lose a half step, but would be able to bully some guys. And may help peotect some of those joints.

Yeah, I was disappointed thru the first half of the year, and then he started to come on right as he got hurt, which is disappointing. He has all the potential and athleticism in the world, certainly.

just talking stats coming into the transfer. some kids transfer after balling out at a lower tier school and some transfer from a top tier school b/c they can't make a mark (for whatever reason). not making a statement there just an observation.

a tight end who's had more receiving yards in a season than dont'e did his career leading up to this season

i'm not trying to diminish dont'e and i completely agree with you he has the ability to be a game changer but we need to see that come together this year. whereas this Joly kid looks to slot in and be extremely effective from the get go. Castles came in and scored 4 td's and gave us solid starts/depth at a prime position in this offense. We have to replace him and IMO Joly is perfect. I think he'll do even better than Castles with Nico throwing. Ethan Davis, Okoye, & Browder will be solid in rotation imo

just my 2 cents after a season of reflection re DT

We need to close the deal this weekend. Don’t let him leave campus without committing. Feels like too often with these portal recruits once they go somewhere else it doesn’t bode well for the school he has already visited. Let’s lock him up now and not worry about it.

Only other offers he’s tweeted are NC St, Indiana, Houston.

Gotta think he’ll be blown away by UT and he’s already experienced the atmosphere.

Don’t put words in my mouth please. I’ve called nobody unintelligent. I read stuff on here and don’t always pay close attention to exactly what’s said and who says it. That has nothing to do with intelligence. If I believe every post I skimmed, I’d probably be as sensational as a lot of the people I’ve put on ignore. I don’t think people need me to filter what people say, but I’m gonna call people out who hold themselves out to be a credible insider source when there’s no such proof or track record of it, and I’m sure there’s plenty who are new or not on here all the time that appreciate that.
