Vols vs. Tide - Game #1 - 3/30

Sweet, they battled hard at the plate, hope it gives them some confidence going forward...Good Job Base Vol'ers

I gotta say, I'm not "Mister Baseball Knowledge", is it normal for an entire pitching staff to have problems when they get the first two outs, then get ahead of the next batter 1-2 and constantly give up hits? It happens far more that we give up a hit then we get the final out.

Hope they can continue tommorow a devestating loss for the Tide.
Feels excellent to come back from more than 3 runs, and beat a SEC team.

I would not say it's normal as in that's what usually happens in the majority but it's not rare.
Proof that you can't breathe easy until the final out is recorded.

Serrano:

Proud of the guys...down by 6 runs, there was no panic...offense kept us in the game...people probably wonder why I stayed w/ Godley, very important not to blow the bull pen on friday...

Serrano on Maddox; Maddox gets us going, did great things after he hit the home run...

On Pierce stealing home...That run demoralizes a team, it's a back breaker

Gotta come down from this high and go pitch by pitch...

Auto Zone POG...Will Maddox and Ethan Bennett

Bennett:

on the home run :felt great to get the ball rolling...coaches have been working with me on my swing...

on Godley: he bounced back from that 5 run inning, it was huge

Maddox:

on 1st home run as a Vol: felt great, felt great, it kept things rolling...we put pressure on their defense...

it's fun to compete against the best of the best...
