And UF Gators are playing the OlMiss Rebels right now with the Rebels leading 2-1 in the Top of the 5th.

I think you mean UGA over Kentucky.
Unless D1Baseball website made a mistake the Wildcats played the UGA Dawgs, and UGA won in the first game.
THe 2nd game hasn't been played.

Oh, my bad...I meant to say Dawgs beat Cats 7-6...I caused the confusion there firestorm, apologies...Ole Miss and UF are playing today...sorry bout that.

I'm assuming the rule for baseball is the same for football, that the delay is 30 minutes from visible lightning strike.

Yes...however, knoxville is under a severe storm watch...I decided to use the delay for a beer run, quarter sized hail pummeled me on the way back. This is about 10 minutes from the LNS...so they're probably getting it too.

Seems to be passing, now.

And I hate games that aren't finished on the day they were going to be played.
But positive news is not only are we leading in this game,Vols got a chance to send the Crimson Tide home with a double header sweep, and make it one of the gloomiest Sundays for the Crimson Tide this season.

The Crimson Tide have blown leads the last 2 games.

Apparently the softball game will be resumed at 6:05...why can't the baseball game be resumed around the same time?

Softball field has better drainage.

Once the game starts, the umpires make the call, not UT, so the umps at each game made their own decisions on field conditions.
