Ok. I guess I understand what you originally meant. But isn't an SEC title based on winning the SEC tournament? Did that happen? :unsure:Maybe you missed the 07-08 Vols having the best season school history?
SEC Title? Anyone?
I never said that, but since you brought it up what do you consider a successful year? An over .500 record? An SEC title? A Final Four appearance? So Bruce Pearl has had exactly zero successful years at Tennessee? Interesting...
If it's not serious you have very low expectations of the basketball program. But that does seem to be the perspective of most Vol basketball fans.

Didn't say that either. You guys are obviously not comprehending what I'm trying to say. That's ok. The program took a step back from the "resounding success" from the previous year. Regardless of the success of the program, the head coach shouldn't be acting like a clown. However, it remains to be seen if the antics invigorate recruiting and propel the program to the elite level. Here's hoping they get there...Considering we had over 30 wins, won a conference championship, became #1 for the first time in school history, went to a sweet 16, I would consider it pretty successful. Obviously the regular season doesn't mean everything in college basketball, but we made a huge stride in our program history that year.
I hope your not saying there are only four successful teams every year in college basketball.

The NCAA tournament respectfully disagrees. No, an SEC Title is an SEC title.
The SEC Tournament Champion is NOT the SEC Champion.
I can only speak for myself by saying the win-loss record of the past couple of years has no bearing on my opinion. By the way, does your viola comment refer to a musical instrument or a retired baseball pitcher? My original point being that less than half of the whiners here wouldn't be whining about this video as much, or at all, if this were a year ago. But, we lost a few mores games and...viola.
First of all, some of you guys have lost sight of the intent of this thread which is to debate the rapping abilities of the Vols head basketball coach. But to answer your question I'll use the facts that you guys presented in this delightful argument. An SEC champion and holder of the title of #1 in the entire nation should be able to advance beyond the sweet sixteen. So I guess in that scenario my answer would be, making it to the elite eight. You tell me the definition of a successful season then.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I like Coach Pearl and hope he stays for a long time and wins bigtime on the Hill.LOL...I was trying to edit that in hopes no one saw that typo before ie crashed. Damn Microsoft.
Anyway, I was not referring to you specifically, but those who are crying for BP's head after this year.
That's the most convoluted reasoning I have ever encountered. I hope it's because you're drunk. So you're saying that if a team was not #1 and wasn't their conference champion, then it would be considered a successful season if they got out before the elite eight, say the sweet 16? You're definition basically holds teams that don't have a great regular season and get to the sweet 16 over teams that do have a great regular season and get to the sweet 16. Interesting...
