Reasonable. Upset W comes vs Georgia or S Carolina IMHO. Now, if he finds a way to steal one from Ore or Fla something special could happen this year. God knows after the last 5 years this fan base and program deserves something special.

You're insane if you think this team will go 10-2 this year. We will be very fortunate to win 7 games, but 6 is more realistic IMO.

But really,look what happened to Fl with Louisville.It showed that Fl has no passing game.If one shuts down run ,then they are in trouble.:no:

They picked up the number one rated receiver class in the country. The QBs had the talent; now they have talent to throw to. Not saying that the receivers are gonna be ready day one, but it's a better passing game than a year ago no matter how you look at it.

Honestly I think with the talent on our roster there's no excuse for not getting seven wins and a bowl game. If one of our qbs really steps up then I think eight or nine is possible and would be a great success.

As for our defense, we basically have the same group that was part of a top 40 defense under Wilcox, only now they're more experienced. I expect vast improvement and a top 50 defense at least this season, maybe better if we get good production from McCullers and Corey Miller and Jacques Smith finally step up. I'm not getting my hopes up too much for the latter two, but part of me feels like they might surprise. They basically lost their junior season to a scheme they didn't fit. It wouldn't be too surprising to me if we see good production from them this year in their natural positions.

I think we can win 8 games with a solid defense. We could have done that last year if the defense hadn't been so awful. Our entire season depends on them being decent. I think our offense will still average around thirty a game.

First off. Our defense shouldn't have been nearly that bad. sal tried to convert us to the 3-4 before we were ready and we weren't recruiting for that D. The D coordinator obviously did a horrible job of game management too.

We will have more talent on D and honestly I don't think anyone we lost will hurt that much as Prentiss had a bad year and Herman was beat up and slowed by injuries. Outside of AJ, our strength was safeties and Maggitt who were hurt for most of the season. Safeties should be a strength next year and we have at least 2 great LBs, I think 3. If Sentimore came back then I would feel even better. Bottom line, I expect us to surrender at least 14 points per game less than last year.

Offense: We may have the best line in the SEC. I do regret not keeping Sam Pittman. Running back will be good but not fantastic. A 5 star running back would have been estatic with our O-Line. WR's and TE are our biggest concern. I think we Dallas and North will develop nicely and maybe a few others will emerge as well. Downs has potential at TE. Too bad he was out for a big stretch last year. A great QB will emerge and we have two patsy games to work the kinks out. With the potential for more running QB plays, we may use a second QB quite a bit too.

Special Teams: Palardy had a nice stretch in the middle of the season but started and ended poorly. Maybe the new ST coach can cut down the mistakes.

I think our Defense will be worth 2 more wins this season especially with the run oriented-possesion Offense keeping them from being so gased as opposed to the 60 second quick strike offense. I think CBJ and staff will be worth 2 more wins this season. Special Teams: push. Offense will probably be a push as well with greatly improved running, better play calling, more possesion oriented but less deep threat potential.

We can hold our own against GA, FL, SC and OR especially at home. Bama will be tough but they may not respect us enough.

Ace in the hole: off-season conditioning program will increase stamina, strength and hopefully cut down on injuries. We seem to have a lot of injuries last year.

Jinx: Schedule mostly sux with road games against Bama, FL and OR.

Pot hole: Underestimating Vandy and Auburn. Like us, Auburn underacheived last year and they recruited well.

I could be wrong, but I believe south Alabama is a transitional fbs member, therefore we would only need six wins. but I'm far from being sure about that..

You're right, I'm wrong. They complete their transition to the Sun Belt this year. All the same, I still see seven wins on the schedule.
