Dayum, the Georgia game is not until 9 days away, how do they know he can't wake up 1 day and say, my ankle feels great........and where are all the hypebearic (sp??) chambers on campus....

I'm guessing you never had a high ankle sprain.

I kinda agree. It seems like its a little to early to make that call.

Because he could barely put any weight on it earlier this week and he'll still be gimpy next week. The injury only occurred 12 days ago and with an average recovery time of 4-6 weeks, nobody should've expected him to be back in just 3 weeks. Bring him back before the ankle's fully healed and you risk losing him for the rest of the season.

FWIW, hyperbaric chambers are used primarily for wounds & infections, not for injuries.

Actually I have on both ankles (was out only 3-4 weeks) ,along w/ a broken tibia (out 15 months)................but everybody's body is different

Last part of your post explains it all. Did you play D1 football when you came back?

I was told today that he is in a "cast", so that type of immobilization is indicative that it may be a pretty serious sprain. So, being able to return by FL would actually be a great thing!

What would mama croom say to this??

"If you don't start catching perfect passes from Worley after the boy has taken a beating all night, no woman in her right mind is going to want to get in a pool with you. Now, let's go beat them Dawgs!"

As long as we have him back for Chattanooga!

If Pearson is really going to be out of the Georgia game then that was a mistake by Jones to announce it this early. Let Georgia spend some time planning for him and announce it last minute not 9 days before the game. If this is a ploy and he does play, then well played Coach Jones, well played.

Butch might shoulda said,"That will be a game day decision"

You have obviously never had a high ankle sprain. I sprained mine (again) in July and it is still giving me fits; I actually thought it was broken. If I was an athlete, I could have likely played on it at about week 5. But, in my numerous sprains over the years, I have never woken up one morning at two weeks post-injury and said, "My ankle feels great". It sucks to lose him, but I would rather see him sit and become 100% than risk re-injuring it.
