Henning is mentioned as a prime candidate for OC, he's done a great job with the Panthers offense, QBs love him, often leads the NFL in passes over 20 yards, he would be a great recruiting tool, the only question is he the right man to replace Phil in 2007? :cross:

Henning might turn Crompton into a Heisman candidate.

No coach with a good NFL job is going to take a step backward into the college game.

Considering the size and smell of it, I don't see this as improbable at all. :eek:lol: :moon2:

Weis went from an assistant coaching job in the NFL to a head coaching job in college. Different comparison. I doubt very, very seriously that any assistant coach in the NFL NOT in danger of losing his job would take the paycut and come to a college program.

Let's see, Weiss is a Notre Dame grad, ND is arguably THE glamour job in college football, and he was a COORDINATOR, NOT A HEAD COACH, IN THE NFL. You really did a great job of creating a valid comparison.

You flunked Reading Comprehension 101, didn't you?

Let me assist (that means help).

The statement was "No coach with a good NFL job is going to take a step backward into the college game."

And the answer remains:

Dude, take your attitude and shove it (that means stick it where the sun don't shine). I was simply responding to your post. My response is still the same...maybe you need some reading comprehension classes?

Are you here just to argue?

I know what the question was, and I also know what your answer was.

My point is that they are two different situations. He'd most likely be taking a hefty paycut.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind it, looking at Carolina's numbers. They're 4th in the league in ppg, and rank in the middle of the pack in other offensive categories.

i think tennessee needs young blood infused into the program instead of hiring older coaches who are set in their ways. dan henning is a good coach, but i think we should start afresh.
