whats wrong with Vince Young, is it just lack of NFL playing time? To me it just seems as though he can't decide whether he is passing or running even as he heads down field. It is strange. what do yall think

This comment is courtesy of the Kerry Collins fan club.

Find another angle. My comment is courtesy of anyone that watches football and knows bad play when they see it. If the Titans didn't have a really good D they would be about 2-7 right now.

Yeah, it's Vince's fault he plays with the worst receiving core in the league. It's Vince's fault Jeff won't allow Norm to open up the playbook. It's Vince's fault the defenses know our passing game consists of nothing but either/or reads. Lastly, it must be Vince's fault that we have some of the most inconsistent, conservative and content playcalling in the National Football League.

It is Vince's fault that he throws an 8 yard pass when the receiver is standing 10 yards from him. Open up the playbook? When you can't complete a 10 yard pass what is the point of "opening" the playbook? The guy is awful but I am glad you like him Titans fan.

Remind me again to never respond to your posts in the NFL Football Forum. I almost forgot about your incessant trolling when it comes to anything Titans related.

He has no credibility here. Anyone... anyone should be able to tell the difference between someone playing bad (ex. Peyton last night) and just a bad overall player. Only an idiot would say Vince is a bad player. Sure - he's a bad player if you want to judge him on 1/2 of a season... I'm not comparing him to Manning but anyone who has watched VY can tell this guy is a player, competitor, and a winner and just hasn't been getting it done lately. You obviously haven't watched him much so stop trolling in the Titans thread.

Remind yourself to make some sense next post. I don't play in your little Titans forum anymore. When I see that people can't take something I leave them alone. I joined in on this one because it is fair game since the topic of VY was brought up. Oh yea, did I mention he is really stinking the joint up?

Even if Vince Young isn't living up to your standards, your boy Kerry Collins wouldn't be doing any better. He is a statue in the backfield.

I'm not a talent scout, but I imagine that if a QB can't complete a 10 yard pass, they wouldn't play QB in college let alone the NFL. Not to mention win a NC in college.

That would require some cerebration. Something that is apparently lost on allvol123.

The only way it would be lost on me is if it could be materialized into a football and VY tried to toss it to me.

This is really a dumb argument. We all agree VY isn't playing well. But anyone who says he isn't a good player didn't watch him at Texas or last year with the Titans...

He has shown his flashes of brilliance this year as well but hasn't put a complete game together. He's forcing some balls and missing some throws WHEN HE FEELS LIKE HE HAS NO HELP.. because HE DOESN'T. The TEs have been a horrible disappointment this year and the WRs get no seperation and have dropped quite a few balls, ran wrong routes, and have even given up on routes as well. VY has proven he can make ever throw in the NFL (except the long ball which he hasn't made much yet since no receiver can get by a half decent DB)

very similar to you trolling Peyton threads. Face it, VY is just not a good pro QB.

I'm pretty sure Fisher knows he's set for the next 10 years - looking for similar results that he got from McNair. I think I'll take his word for it on Young.

He has all the tools so there's no reason to believe he would be a disappointment. Right now it's all mental/crappy TEs/crappy WRs.

The thing is, he has the physical tools, but he doesn't have the mental tools right now, and it is debatable whether or not that ever comes. The coaches tried to implement more complex passing plays, and he hasn't yet learned how to make his progressions. Last year they dumbed the offense down for him, just like Texas did. Look for one or two guys, and if that isn't there, take off. Chow and Fisher thought that this year Vince would be ready enough mentally to have him read 3-4 passing options and make the best decision. Obviously, he isn't. Add that to the fact that the WRs are mediocre at best, and Vince wants to prove he isn't just a running QB, and you get one of the worst decision making QBs in the NFL. I love the Titans, and I like Vince, so I hope he gets past this and gets his swagger back (on the field).

This argument should be saved for when VY is playing like crap in his 3rd or 4th year, not his 2nd.

If you disagree, look at the numbers John Elway and Steve Young put up early in their careers.
