Waco Motorcycle War

I don't believe in the conspiracy that all of them were shot by cops.

But I do know the police knew something was going down that day. Call it a conspiracy or whatever, you don't have that many officers prepositioned on a somewhat regular occurrence. And from what I understand, Twin Peaks is a regular hangout of most motorcycle clubs. If you want to "monitor" the situation, you put a handful of officers to watch in highly visible areas where everyone can see them and they don't get out of line. A SWAT team in the immediate vicinity is not "monitoring" by any means. And reeks of information known in advance.

And this only points to a CI inside one of the two clubs. Or maybe both. And from what I understand of the hierarchy of the bike world, something like this doesn't go down without being sanctioned by the higher levels of the club. Which means the CI is likely placed at a higher level that would know the decision was made and maybe who made it. Which does lead to the organized crime charge, but I doubt seriously that will stick on many if not most of the ones involved.

All in all, the cops know a lot more than they let on. And after the Jay Dobyns incident, probably want to keep such informants as quiet as possible.

I wouldn't call this a conspiracy. My own suspicions are that the cops saw some bikers with guns and opened up first. I really wouldn't blame them either considering the element they were dealing with.

I might call it a coverup with that many people being charged with so serious of offenses.

I'll wait on the ballistics tests to come back. But apparently, the two clubs were ready for a fight:

Officials find 1,000 weapons, describe surreal scene inside Twin Peaks - WacoTrib.com: Biker Gang Shooting

Provided that number was revised downward, but still 300+ weapons at the scene is an awful lot for none of the bikers to have fired a shot.

As for the cover up, I'd reserve judgment on that as well. The BATFE has been after MCs for a while now on a laundry list of stuff which is likely why the bail was set so high. Even the tamer groups like Veteran's Clubs have been the target of BATFE actions and investigations. I have a good source I trust in the matter that passed that on to me so I'm not just making stuff up. But as for covering up the incident, this is the kind of thing the feds would love to have since it justifies their investigations in the end. So I'm not sure they would do so as word would get out and security footage would reveal who was at fault here.

What does strike me as strange is the utter and complete lack of video released even through unofficial channels. In this day in age where everyone has a camera in their phone, the chances of someone not catching it on camera and releasing the video seems absurdly low. I can understand official footage from the restaurant or nearby cameras, but that won't stop John or Jane Doe from recording it and putting it out there for everyone to see.

Seems like there are probably a lot more layers to the whole thing than what's came out so far.

That said, if they were really looking for a fight, part of me wishes they'd clear the area of innoncents, put up some snow fence to keep them in, and let them have at each other Gangs of New York style.
