Just some random thoughts about where Newman might consider:
  • Colorado could be tempting, but not really moving up in the college football world.
  • Florida with Mullen could work. Newman and Dak have similar skill sets
  • Michigan maybe. Harbaugh & co may think he can unlock their offense. He has one year of eligibility, they have one year to save their job
  • Bama could be a thought with tua’s departure
  • Kentucky makes a lot of sense actually. If they were that successful with an almost non passer, think of what Newman could bring to their offense
  • FSU? Penn State?Virginia? VT?USCe?
  • Ole Miss with Lane could be a lot of fun to watch

I don't think the OC leaving is a big issue. Oregon is going to be just fine on offense going forward. I don't know who the OC will be but Oregon is going to bring in a very good talent for an OC. The big question is can Newman compete with the current QB and QB recruits. I really like the guy that's been here for the last two years and I really like the currently signed QB recruit. It will be tough for someone to beat him out. What we need to find out is whether Newman is willing to compete at this level.

I think we can dust this thread off and add UGA to the list of possible destinations for Newman.
