I don't like Will Ferrell's movies for the most part... At least his comedy ones. But I thought Anchorman was great, simply because nearly every scene is instantly quotable. Not just Ferrell though, the entire supporting cast.
I will say, though, that Will Ferrell does a great job in movies in which he isn't typecast. Elf was a fantastic Christmas movie, and I really liked Stranger Than Fiction.

Ron Burgundy: "Last time I checked, my name's Ron Burgundy. What's your's?"
Brian Fantana: "Brian Fantana!"
Champ Kind: "Champ Kind!"
Brick Tamlund: "Brian Fantana..."
I'm not a Will Ferrell fan by any means, and I absolutely hated Talladega nights. However, I loved anchorman and Walk Hard is just flat out hilarious. It's some of the hardest laughing I've done during a movie.
Don't have the quote. But I liked the one where he was at the dinner table talking about doing some show in NY and he says(paraphrasing)....this guy says he's going to give me $3000 for that show I just did, I said hell you are, you're going to give me that giraffe....paraphrasing as I said.
