Wall/Cousins- Selby/Harris

I don't think we will see a one-two punch like we saw this past season with Wall and Cousins for a long time. With that being said, if we were able to land Selby, how do you think our one-two punch in Selby and Harris would compare to what KY had in Wall and Cousins.

If they by some chance are an exact remake of the two its safe to say that CBP would do more with the same talent than CJC.

This being because I think CBP stresses on the importance of foul shots along with other things..

Just observing what I saw over the course of the season..

I dont think thats a similar comparison. The two of them were the top 2 players in the country out of one of the stronger classes in a while

That's a little far, IMO. If we did get those two, I would poo myself, but they wouldn't be a duo like Cousins and Wall.

From what we have been hearing about Selby, the Wall comparisons don't sound too far off. His outside shot may be even a little better than Wall. I think it might take Selby two years to match to get to Wall's level, but I could certainly see him getting there.

As for Harris, he and Cousins are completely different players. Harris has much more of an outside game and can take bigger guys to the hole and post up smaller guys. Cousins is just an absolute beast inside and a much better rebounder and defender.

I hope we continue to play eight man or more basketball, and not get too dependent on incoming freshman... even elite ones.

Yup... But we better hope it's the older guys rising to the challenge to fight for playing time.

Go read up on and watch video on Harris. I think you might change your mind. And i don't think that anyone on the TN bb team can refer to someome on the KY bb as a thug. How soon we forget...

Considering none of us are on the team, it doesn't really apply. And we'll refer to Kentucky however we want and you'll deal with it or leave.

I think Harris and Cousins may have some personality similarities, and not in a positive way. The difference is it remains to be seen how Harris matures going forward, as he is still in high school.

Agreed. Bruce Pearl would have some work to do with Selby, Harris, and even Hopson on the team. He'll have to fix attitudes, and convince them that playing together will do them more good than trying to serve themselves.

I guess what you see as thug in Harris, I see as passion and desire to win.

I think Selby could match Wall but I don't think Harris could match Cousins. That's not a knock on Harris but Cousins had rare size/physique. You don't see many guys let alone 18 year olds that are built like Cousins.

If bet if he were wearing blue next year you would consider him thuggish. But since he might be wearing orange then it is passion and a desire to win? Am i getting warm...

I really don't care. I challenged you to back up your assertions that he is a thug. We've seen enough of Cousins to form an opinion but I doubt your research goes any further than a 2min youtube vid.
