Walz Declines to Comment

I wasn't commenting on Walz's abilities, just responding to Vol Girl's statement: "3. The chance to bring Tennessee back to prominence and beat UConn," which, even if he does come to UT, seems a bit premature, given his record against them.

But, since you brought it up: he took over a team that was 27-8 and he made it to the finals in year 2. Wasn't much building to be done.

So he took a very good team
and
made it even better

hmm

And again: didn't say a word about whether he's good or not, nor whether he would be a good hire, nor whether he could do better at UT than at Louisville. I was just responding VolBall09's statement that his record happened primarily "while he was building his program." My response was to show that not much "building" was required. That SHOULD be the situation here.

Dec 21, 2016 - ... that Dolphins Nick Saban said at a post-practice news conference, “I'm not going to be the Alabama coach,” even though a decade later. ... I couldn't hold Saban to that quote because, essentially, “What else could he say?”.

That's a high price tag and a whole lot of buyout money there.
I’ve been reading where people are saying we won’t pay money for a sport where we are losing money ( revenue) correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Lady Vol basketball on the plus side of revenue. When we were winning of course.

All he had to do is say I'm staying in Louisville or is happy in Louisville, but he didn't. Walz will be the new Tennessee Lady Vol HC.

Agent probably suggested he play for a raise. Don’t get excited until he has actually signed
Better yet, don’t get excited until Holly is fired in the first place

Walz gonna have a statue on UT campus one day. :D

I can’t look that far ahead. #1. I haven’t seen where Holly has been fired. #2. I won’t believe he is coming until the ink is dry. ( See Mike Gundy)

I have literally heard parents talk to people about “ When my 8 year is in the NFL”
Little premature to talk about NFL, before junior high, high school or college

WHEN we were winning? Yes. NOW? No. Good point.

This has got to be awkward for his players getting ready to play Oregon State and possibly more.
