Jeff is a talented radio professional. He might not be the greatest on-air host, but he knows is stuff in the biz.
Doc is the single worst morning radio show lead in the country. I've heard him call a game, and he's not bad at that, but when it comes to real conversation on the fly, he rivals my 2 year old.
Speaking of my two year old, he has a new high-pitched-squeal that he does when he's overly excited. I told my wife it was the most annoying sound I've heard since the last time I listened to Heather speak.
Get the radio.com app if you want to find a good sports talk show for your drive to work. I listen to Ainge sometimes, and he's good...he is just so freaking ADD that it's funny sometimes. He and his producer will go off on segment-long tangents about nothing at all. Drive-time-radio 101 says to stay on topic and consider average commute times for the market. Ainge hasn't gathered yet that people can't listen to the entire show. He's still new, though. He'll get better.

I agree with your DJH comments.

Ainge's show is also targetted at tech-savvy people, and it seems a LOT of people listen through smartphones on the TSR app, which enables people to listen to more of the show than just the drive-time commute.

I am one of those people. I don't pick up 1180AM from my desk in Southern Maryland.

I can promise that's not how they're selling it to advertisers, because they don't care who listens out of the market. Nor does arbitron. The people that are able to listen all morning is a very small fraction of audience.
I was an on-air personality for a 100k watt station in Knoxville for about seven years. Trust me, the number one thing they care about is keeping listeners through a full quarter of the hour in drive-time.

That show is an absolute trainwreck. I do not have the patience for that much stupidity condensed into one show.

Sucks the Ainge show is AM.. He needs an FM channel.. Or Sirius/XM would work for me.

He must have set his alarm incorrectly because he's usually on Jimmy Hyam's show---it's like a vortex of "Groundhog Day" mixed with Whole Grain Alcohol and stupidity...and I'm not even talking about the Sports Animals as a whole..

I like it how Harrington whines about having such a "tough job"---can someone explain to me the toughest part of her job?

That's comedy gold. Two on air hosts getting into it and then Dearstone kicks them out and Roger calls in to say he got a hole-in-one...in putt-putt. LMFAO.
