War in Ukraine

Some of y'all so called "conservatives" and "libertarians" need to be careful about calling your fellow posters Russian apologists. Based on the events over the last week you should know better. If you get that emotional then you should take a break.
Ras is undeniably an apologist. I’m not sure if Donjo and Volgr are apologists or their aversion to mainstream media led them to actual propaganda web sites.

I don't follow CNN, MSNBC, or The Young Turks. So following propaganda websites doesn't apply to me.

I'm not actually surprised some of the ones you are referring to are speaking like that. And personally I don't believe them on their "libertarianism" or "conservatism" as they've shown they have personally stated they are for authoritarianism and censorship as long as it's something they agree with.

By the way. Zelensky is every bit the tyrant they claim Putin is. Just even pointing that out automatically gets insults and name calling directed your way.

Not quite, but he is most certainly not the saint that many people make him out to be. He presides over a country that is corrupt as Russia is, and steam rolls anyone who voices opposition about him. Don't get me wrong, I hope Ukraine continues to clip Russia wings, but Zelensky is dirty.

That's the issue when you have someone else attacking. It's easy to sanctify the victim and forget their wrong doings. And it's really hard to hold him accountable while his nation is under attack, both emotionally and actually.

If posters cared about the corruption they would want the war over. Zelenksys corruption only became a talking point when the war started. Zelenksy wasnt the one in charge that got bribed by Biden under Obama. So it's not like you can make the American involvement argument.

The corruption in Ukraine was well known before Zelensky came to power. It wasn't just a "talking point" when the war started.

Yes I know. That's why I brought up the Obama era stuff. I am pointing out that Zelensky is not the problem/source of said corruption.

It's why I am pointing out that Russia's invasion just ratcheted up the corruption. Trying to act high and mighty about the corruption and acting like that is a reason to choose sides is pointless when those very sides are the fuel on this corruption fire. And especially dumb to rail against the passive member of this war. Without Russia action there was no way Ukraine was getting billions of weapons.

Without Russian lead separtist movements there is no real movement of Ukraine to NATO. No reason, no need.

The sad news is we have a visibly more corrupt government than ever thought or expected for the world to see. It's why China laughs to this administration face and bullies them.

And we know why these separatist movements started. It was due to U.S. involvement in Ukraine in 2013 and 2014. I'm not going into details as to why again, but we have to stop sticking our nose into other countries business.

Nor should you be scolding your fellow posters for having a mind of their own. If you had been around this thread much you would know where they are coming from.

Those separtists were armed with modern Russian equipment. Not american cookies.

"Nor should you be scolding your fellow posters from having a mind of their own".

Try practicing what you preach for once.
