That wasn't diplomacy. They were urging and pushing for regime change.So now not only supplying weapons is an act of aggression, but diplomacy is too. Remind where did the ousted president end up, and how did he get there?
I have a hint for you, the US wasnt the one directly losing assets in that coup.
If you're not a major weapons manufacturer you have to get it somewhere. I suspect Ukraine has worn out more equipment than Russia has destroyed. Winning or losing it takes a constant supply.Ukraine already had the largest military in Europe prior to this conflict. They have always had plenty of equipment and weapons.
