War in Ukraine

6% of the adult Russian population regularly attend Christian church services, and only 15% say that religion is important to them.

One of the highest divorce rates in the world at 4.7/1000 people.

303 abortions for every 1000 live births.

20% of the population abuses alcohol on a regular basis.

The government has legalized domestic violence.

Not to mention th fact that a Russian soldiers regularly decapitate and torture Ukrainian POWs.

No, only in an evangelical Christian's 'Book of Revelation wet dream' is Russia "Christian" or "conservative".
You missed the part where I said it wasn't a compliment to Russia and I am calling BS on most of your statistics.

The point is that Europe today is nothing Lome the Europe we allied and entered NATO with in 1950. Sometimes your friends change.

Link about his corruption please.

So what you're saying is that Ukraine has a problem with endemic corruption? And it's not necessarily its President that is the cause of it. But at least thank God it's not like their President is trying to make financial gains by, say, selling cars on the front lawn of their White House. Now THAT would be textbook corruption.

I'm not sure I believe all of that.

Only 20%?

sounds like Trump is "talking about" lifting the bans the same way Putin is "talking about" peace.
Trump is literally offering up everything Putin wants, and at the same time is attempting to extort Ukraine in perpetuity.

It's actually so ridiculous that it's comical to think that Scott Bessent is really trying to sell this nonsense.

Bad deflection

The Germans occupied over 20% of France and held it throughout the war only falling back towards the end in 1918.
that doesn't mean the germans were on the offensive for the whole war. pretty much the biggest thing they did was build a defensive network the allies couldn't breach for years.

and I don't know where you are getting 20%, everything I am seeing says it was way less than 10% of france.

"ended in the stalemate of trench warfare, 3.7 percent of the French territory remained in the hands of the German army."

conquered, but didn't kill them all.

Alexander killed a traitor to the Persians, and held a royal burial for the betrayed persian king.

They didn't exist anymore as a political entity but rather as subjects of Alexander's Empire (i.e. Greece). He didn't just take out Persia, he took out the Greeks, Thracians, Illyrians, and others as threats. He did fail to have a real succession plan and his Empire fragmented into various civil wars after his death.

In my view, the only way we could ever have peace on Earth is to unite the human race into a single political entity similar to the United Earth setup in Star Trek (or Terran Empire).

I literally have 0 clue what your point was. People were saying Ukraine can't win because they are on defensive and have occupied territory. France was in the same boat as Ukraine in WW1. It is a very valid comparison. The only real difference is that Russia has 3x the population of Ukraine and doesn't have other fronts to deal with like Germany did in WW1.

Russia is not going to mass mobilize their population to fight in Ukraine. They're already struggling to keep their economy afloat in afloat with a worker shortage and an across the board wage increase, and the last time they started calling up reserves nearly a million people fled the country.

There is no realistic path to victory, they can't even state what a "victory" is. If victory is defined by removing all Russians from the old Ukraine area... you have to be prepared to do what Russia can do +1, which means basically the whole world would have to continuously put in the Ukraine area.....Russia+1. Of course, they will probably still be outgunned as most of the weapon storage is gone.

After the Fall of 2022, this is the equivalent of throwing good money after bad but with humans. There simply is no realistic victory for the Ukraine here but not sure there is an off-ramp.

Wow! British and French troops to go to Ukraine.

That isn't what he said if the translation is correct. I'm sure they're 100% ready to go though. Technically, the few internet warriors remaining on the board including you are all ready to go I'm sure.

that will be 100% ready for a troop contingent on the territory of Ukraine
