I think China would have to try to stop it because of the huge number of people that would try to cross into China .

Money has to go around in a circle to keep an economy going. When you break the chain and send it elsewhere, one or more segments of the economy collapse. In this case we lost a lot of the manufacturing sector, and there's no way that doesn't catch up with the result that companies can't sell what people can't afford. Actually the longer this drags on the longer I’d guess Europe has a chance to develop a nutsack again and realize it’s time to remove the madman on their Eastern Border. After this move if they let him stay in power they deserve what they get.
