War in Ukraine

I have a link that I read the first 2 paragraphs of this afternoon and I had to put it down until I get back to my hotel. But let's just say it was a "hot take"... too hot for TV. Written by a a former East European that lives here now.

I also need to sit down and listen to that YouTube video you linked over the weekend.

It’s amazing to me how the same media who have lied constantly over the last few years can suddenly put out **** like this and folks swallow it whole. Always question everything.
That’s always a healthy stance in this day and age. But there’s plenty of room between buying every pro Ukraine tweet or war report and this being a major hoax propagated on the world.

I’d expect both party’s propaganda machines are in high gear.

It’s long at two hours but it’s well worth the time spent. Have a notebook and pencil ready. Although you likely know most of what is discussed.

Ukrainian Family's Heartbreak as a Father Must Send His Son Away From Harm

Emotional photos capture the painful parting of a father and son in Ukraine amid Russian attacks

Dramatic photos shared with Fox News Digital on Monday show one family's almost unbearable heartache as a Ukrainian father is forced to bid his tearful young son goodbye, telling the child, "Be brave for your mother."

The man was sending his family off to Hungary from a local train station in Ukraine, The Mirror reported.

The man's goal was to get his beloved family — his wife and two children — away from the danger and chaos of war as Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces continue to push their way into Ukraine in an all-out assault on that country.

The father and son are shown hugging and saying a painfully emotional goodbye to each other at the Lviv Train Station.

The dad, Ruslan Gladkiy, gave his nine-year-old son, Hordeiy, a big bear hug as he put him, his daughter and wife on a train in Lviv, the report noted.

Good grief. Who the heck is claiming this?
The link provided claiming to debunk all the hero stories led to a Twitter account when talking about the Ukraine beauty Queen. And that was literally a post claim in that account.

People should assume both propaganda machines are in high gear

I don’t think anyone is claiming the whole war is a hoax. Just some of the reporting. I have no doubt both sides are furiously putting out propaganda.

It's always healthy to be skeptical, with those you disagree with and those you agree with.

It's logical; why give fighter planes to a country who airfields have been destroyed by Russia?

The Russians have not established air superiority. That's a fact. They could have a numerical edge but they have not cleaned the skies. Now that means that Ukraine has operating fields still open. Plus Ukraine is generally pretty flat so they can use highways as temporary runways. It's actually what the Tornado was designed to do. That's a very European thing to do. The Saab Viggen pioneered that in the late 60's early 70's.

What's also crazy is how so many people have capitalized on this conflict to try and get their 10 minutes of fame by fabrication.
You say this like people are clout chasing. I think it is more sinister than that. If it were only about clicks and vanity, that would be one thing. But as we have seen over the last 2 years, the media (traditional mainstream media and social media) are weaponized.

The only thing I know for certain is America has no place being involved in another European war. We should use the advice of the founders as a guide.

“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations...entangling alliances with none.” Thomas Jefferson
But but but... the world is smaller now than 200 years ago.
