War in Ukraine

Russia/Ukraine. Serious question: where does this rank in the American taxpayers' interest? Where do you want your money to go? What does the Ukraine do to benefit us?

Other options for your hard earned money to help:

North Carolina disaster relief
California fire relief
American homelessness
American mental health crisis
African starvation and illness
Indonesia homelessness and illness
Mexican drug cartel and sex trafficking
Continued terrorist activity in Gaza vs Israel

I would love to hear why continued support for Ukraine is justified.

We agreed to protect them for them giving up their Nukes. They don't give them up without that. Russia doesn't invade if they had them. So here we are .

The countries gave security assurances not guarantees to the Ukraine. If they had not agreed very likely multiple countries would have invaded. I believe everyone didn't think the Ukraine had the ability to even maintain them.

Here we are 2014 and John McCain is in kviv.

Zelensky got a little too big for his Baby Gap britches and insulted the Pres and VP.
The “and you have nice ocean and don’t feel it, but you will in the future” comment was an outrageously stupid thing to say in that situation.
Im surprised no one interrupted and asked “what the hell did you just say”?
Yeah, I was like is that a threat?

Without a reduction in military budget, it doesn't really matter. We're gonna be taxed the same no matter what. Given that I'm gonna pay the same no matter what towards the military, I'd prefer it go toward stopping Russian jingoist intrusion into sovereign democratic nations.

We're about to see how quickly the U.S. can become obsolete. Europe cannot risk a Russian win. A Pootin victory in Ukraine won't be enough. He'll turn his eyes to countries that are NATO members, and Europe will have to send physical troops. They can either outlast Putin, or potentially face another World War with us on the side of Russia.

That's why European Countries have been saying this week that they are considering putting boots on the ground to defend Ukraine, because they know that Pootin will invade other countries after this.

Let me guess. You think if Putin wins he is gonna take over Europe right? The US will never become obsolete. You have no clue what you are talking about.

It's important to have the right people in the right places at significant points in history.
Trump's failures at supporting Ukraine and Zelensky today is an example of having the wrong person in place.
Imagine FDR taking the same approach with Churchill during WWII, and siding with Hitler against European nations.
Why should we continue to aide Ukraine? And please don’t say to prevent WW3 or Putin taking over Europe.

A majority of our aid to Ukraine has been in giving their military second and third generation weapons/munitions that probably weren't otherwise going to be used in combat, and a lot of which would eventually be scrapped.

What is the taxpayers' interest to leave this stuff, already paid for, rusting away in storage?

I think they'd prefer sell it then give it away

I thought it was a threat...that's why he got the response he did...what's. POTUS supposed to do to a public threat?? And Vance was correct...it shouldn't have been litigated in front of the public...I don't think Zelensky wants peace, he want to keep power and money and continuous war does that for him.

laugh it up, but we've gone from the greatest superpower the world has ever known to celebrating our cic and his veep punking the president of the mighty superpower... Ukraine

we've become pathetic and our hegemony is entering its nadir.

A great deal of what the Russians use is like 8th+ generation which they may or may not have been refurbished. Most of the shells were used in 2022 or so...it's all about production.

Answer, to pull it out when you need it in case of war. Heck, they refurbished blown up equipment.

lol… people conveniently leave that part out. I have no doubt Vance was ready with something, but it seemed more like an if/then proposition in case Zelensky started grandstanding.
Its like everyone forgot the last 1-2 weeks. Vance was ready because they are sick of the horseshit. 😂

A news conference between Zelenskyy and Trump’s Ukraine envoy is canceled as tension rise

They lost the war, the midget was warned multiple times. He basically needed to take the knee and say he was ready for peace or there was no reason to come. He went the other way. 😂

Worse than slavery
Worse than civil rights issues
Worse than interment camps
Worse than intentionally killing US citizens without due process
Worse than the needless wars by Bush and Obama

Could go on and on

You really are a clown

You are right, I should have limited that to diplomatic interaction.

He was, correctly, warning that Russia won't stop at Ukraine.
