A solution to one of Tennessee's most persistent women's basketball problems this season continues to elude the Lady Vols. They can't seem to get a grasp on how to limit their turnovers.
"I think it's been our demise all year," UT coach Holly Warlick said.
..."We just have to keep putting (the players) in a (practice) situation where's it's competitive and they've got to take care of the ball," Warlick said. " ... We're just going to continue to do that and hope it sinks in."
Holly Warlick says turnovers have been 'demise' of Lady Vols
FWIW, Tennessee went 29-6 just 2 seasons ago while averaging almost the same number of turnovers per game (16.5) as this season (17.0).
The biggest differences between then and now? We hit about 46% of our shots on the way to averaging almost 79 points per game, and we were a much better rebounding team (11.4 rebound margin vs 5.0 this year).
