Was/Is Dooley A Good WR Coach?

I love what Fuad calls him "DOOFUS"! What he did to this program, to me seems treason. I am bitter about it. I refuse to watch any cowboy games. I hope Witten has a Pro-Bowl yr. Jerry Jones team can go down in smoke- only cause of their position coach. I don't carry a grudge.

CBJ- I'm all in. We all have to be. After what Kiffen and Doofus left us. I look for a young team next yr, and I hope a lot of fun (maybe more wins). GBO!

Why can't you folks wean yourselves from DD's nipples?
And get engrossed with the efforts of CBJ & Co. in building
our UT back into the powerhouse it's supposed to be? What
good is persistent lapping at Dool-nipples going to do our team
and the program's future? Do some folks love to hate so much
they can no longer tell the difference between love or hate
anymore? Or love to hate so much that it's one and the same
thing to them? Get off the nipples, mommy is gone, dudes, and
not coming back. A more relevant question would have been, is our
current WR coach a good coach or not? I'll let you know when they
consistently hold onto passes that hit them in the face, hands, and chest.
You work on weaning yourself from DD's nipples.

'DOOFUS'...So you feel its OK to call people names...seriously I know this is only a message board but assuming you're an adult what other kinds of things do you feel its OK to do, even encourage...and do you have children or do you have a vocation or in a position in your life where others such as family members, friends, co-workers may look to you to direction on how to treat people...why not take the time and the little bit of effort to clearly explain why you feel the way you do about someone instead of calling them names...

He played receiver in college. He has coached receivers in several different jobs. He was able to find and recruit
good talent at this position. I feel he would be very competent at coaching and recruiting talented receiving core in college football.

Lighten up, Francis. I know I'm new to the board but were you elected as the friendly Volnation morals officer ?

Advice for the newbies on the board, never post when angry, frustrated, or drunk. However, under the current circumstances that will be difficult. :hi:

I like any post when nipples are mentioned. Thank you very much.

Respectfully its difficult to get beyond your first statement ' we all hated Dooley'....on the contrary the vast majority of fans loved the man, especially those on this board and would ridicule, insult and attack any poster who would even objectively question him in any manner up until near his tenure....

For the record I didn't think he should be hired as our coach but I never hated him...

I never wanted him as coach because he had no resume. And yes I hate him for what he did to our football program. I caught crap from day one about my dislike for Dooley, even though the proof was building that he could not assemble a team of coaches nor a team that played for pride. That is 100% on the head coach.

By the way, you can tell when a coach is all in, selling our program is a major part of that. That is why I am a BJ fan, he is all in and players and recruits know it.

What did he do to the program that was so treasonous?? Did he take a program that was a National Championship level team, and brought it down or something??? Ie...Muschamp?? Did we wake up every morning this year to check Vols news to see what player was kicked off or arrested??? I know that's what I was doing for the first year and half of Dooley's tenure. The guy was a "stop gap" in a very bad period in UT Sports as a whole.

I bet u want Obama (and I'm no fan) impeached for shaking Castros hand at Mandela's funeral too. Smh.

I was listening to TN Sports Radio last week and Daniel Hood was on there talking about all the coaches they had been with over his years there. He said something interesting. He said he learned more X and O stuff from Dooley that his problem was he had a hard time keeping guys motivated. But said he was smart when it came to X's and O's

Wait I thought he was an incompetent and inept?? It's funny how different the people on here would have reacted if he would have said the opposite about his X's and O's ability.

Do you find it interesting that the only player taking up for Dooley is Hood?

I don't know if Dooley is very good at anything when it comes to coaching, but check out his beard.
