Was it as bad as it sounded?

I was expecting to see Tyler Summitt and crew enter the game with 10 minutes to go. It couldn't have gotten any worse as far as I was concerned.

If I had a dog, I would have kicked it.

VU defense denied everything so we could barely even get the ball to an open shooter or down low with a decent chance to score. Subsequently, we took mostly bad shots. Maymon fought like a champ, and Stokes showed some fight. Other than that, most everyone else looked defeated with 12 minutes to go in the first half. Yemi played decent in mop-up duty.

You guys act like you are shocked by last night.

We played perhaps the most experienced team in the country that happens to have 3 players that have a good shot to play in the NBA.

They were coming off a loss and clearly had a chip on their shoulder playing in a building that they have a history of playing extremely well in.

Going on the road after a huge emotional win at home with an inexperienced team is a classic let down spot.

Were we terrible? Yes but if you didn't see this as a possibility you weren't looking at the facts surrounding this game.

It was over in the first 5 minutes of the game.

I am past ready for the youth movement to start. Get them ready for the SEC tourney and next season. Tatum's minutes need reduced a great deal and Woolridge should be done for the season. More of Hall's minutes can go to Yemi. He will mix it up, productive on rebounds/points/blocks in the paint, and has good upside as a true center.

Stokes was lost on the floor last night except for rebounding. Still bringing the ball down to his chest/waist before making a move - then getting stripped. Washpun needs more minutes at PG to rest Golden and get his ankle healed. Maymon and Richardson are solid at what they do with Richardson having really good upside.

Vandy fans continue to incessantly boo at any opportunity. It really is funny. When the game was out of hand, we started to boo everything like the people around us and they finally got the hint.

What do you expect out of the biggest group of douchebags in Trashvegas?

Agree.
Interesting in his presser that aside from Maymon, Wes and Yemi were the only 2 players he complimented.

Guy in pleated pants and docksider shoes heckled me and my blazer as we were leaving. He was @ 20 feet behind me. Said something about my yellow jacket. Said something about CM. I stopped in my tracks and asked his wife if she had ever seen him laying down on the pavement. Then he told me to take it easy. I wouldn't have done anything and never have in a situation like that, but it was a pretty good line and scared the **** out of both of them.

I didn't need to eat dinner after I watched it. I would have give 100 bucks to have seen someone fire a no-look bullet pass into Stallings while he was on the court fappin his mouth.

Here's my suggestion and I'm sure most will disagree but that why it's an opinion. Cameron tatum is a senior he sucks and really brings nothing, playing him is of no benefit as he isn't going to be back. I don't know that I want to completely give up on hall and give the minutes to yemi but I'm not completely against it either. Here my suggested rotation...

Golden 22/Wes 18
Richardson 25/golden 10/ mcbee 5
McRae 25/ tatum 10/ Woolridge 5
Stokes 30/ maymon 10
Maymon 18/ yemi 15/hall 7

This lineup may or may not win many games but how many are we winning now. This lineup will answer ALOT of question for next year. As I said tatum is a lost cause and won't be here next year so he is of no significance. I say continue golden at pg but cut his minutes back at pg and give him some at SG. By doing this you get wes quite a few minutes at the PG position where you can fully evaluate him. This answers a few questions, how effective can golden be at the 2? How effective can Wes be at PG? Does Wes look like he can be our starting PG next year? Should e stick with golden at PG or look elsewhere? I'd continu giving Richardson the minutes at the 2 and up them a bit, giving golden the back up 2. At SF I'd start McRae, in sure thinks an unpopular decision. Why play tatum though? You may as well play McRae and maybe the minutes will give him confidence. This answers a question of can McRae become anything for us or do we need I suggest that e leaves? In the post keep doing what weve been doing but give yemi some of Kenny's minutes.

As I said this may not win a lot of games but it answers a lot of questions for next year and will provide a good starting point.

Tennessee was badly in need of a strutured offense. I have felt that TN needed to work on this faze of their overall stragety since the start of the season. This may be difficult since the team has been a fast break team for the past several years. In the past the team has scored a lot of points on fast break and an up tempo game. Now this team has to be about passing and working hard to get good shots and particular when they are playing agood defensivie team. Too many times the players come down the floor and jack up shots mwith no other player any place close to getting the rebound. Over all we do not have good shooters. But we have to limit those that the percentage does not favor in shooting 3 point shots.

Most people were fine. Older Ladies (55+)behind me thought it looked sharp and discussed our basketball team not looking like the UT team they expect to see. Had a couple tell me I'd look better wearing gold. Just fun barbs. Had one guy tell me it was bold. I can't understand getting so pissed at someone for wearing a damn jacket.
I also have never in my life won any game on any level or cheered for my team as a fan and talked **** to my opponent after the game. Never. There are clowns like that everywhere, but booing, whiny, **** talking vandy fans dressed like it's 1986 take the cake as far as I'm concerned.

When I made the trip to Hartford for Uconn last year we weren't welcomed. Some fans were polite abs seriously enjoyed discussing our tean and other things. Unfortunately many were not this way and they actually had security at the bathrooms who told us they would have to go in with us because there were multiple threats and incidents made outside of the arena pre game apparently. Classy.

That's all they ever do and people actually think they're a hoops school. Those morons in the stands couldn't tell you the difference between a basketball and a football. All they do is boo. They are the whiniest sacks o' sh*t I've ever seen. Like a bunch of old ladies bitc*ing about everything.

And that is why I take great pleasure in seeing them lose every single time. They don't win much, so when they do, they act like they've won a national title (see this year's football team for proof).

They have such an inferiority complex it is hilarious. If they beat UT in anything, it makes their year. We own their asses in every sport (yes, even baseball, look it up) and they can't stand it.

i really dont know which i dislike more franklin or stallings? i am definitely more of a basketball guy, but in one year franklin was able to make a lasting impression, that should count for something i think.

I got home at 8:20 Eastern and started flipping through on the DVR. When it turned ugly, I watched it in Fast Fwd.
